Re: Looking after an uncracked dashboard
Try some 303 aerospace protectant. I've just got some to put on my boat vinyl interior and canopy. I'm also going to use it on my E30 dashboard too to keep it nice.

Re: Out for a run in the sun
Steve_k it would be good if we can organise a local meet/drive session. I saw on Facebook group there is still a meet on off junction 29 every first Monday of the month at the elm tree in heath village.

Re: Out for a run in the sun
We went gainsborough, through torksey, right at lights and over Dunham bridge and right at East Markham - grove, Rampton etc it was a good run out and nice weather to hand. That freezer really did smell! I have a few 'artistic'/'scene' shots involving it too but I'm so computer illiterate I can't re...

Re: Help me with replicating Hartge exhaust system
Ps the car had a cat fitted of which I had removed so I don't know if it should have a centre muffler and I don't particularly want to carv the existing backbox up to find out what's inside it if at all possible. Cheers

Help me with replicating Hartge exhaust system
Hi, I am going down the route of having a custom stainless steel exhaust built for an M30 H28, I assume the spec would 'probably' be similar to an Alpina system in terms of placement of baffles and mufflers on the system (if any). I have got a new Hartge tip to go on the end so all they will be repl...

It's good to see the prices going up on solid e30's and not the other way. That is good money for a more door

I've got a prefacelift hella heck blend in the loft, fortunately the mounting parts were missing so I never used it. I prefer the standard pre-facelift oem black plastic heck blend which I have on now, the reflective one is an acquired taste! It was I only approx 20 quid directly from the dealer a f...

^ Hey up neighbour  My story goes like this, I bought my first tech 2 sport after owning a daytona violet individual e34 525i sport. I wonder is Hartge de and Birds UK had different standards in build quality, Mine is German/LHD with plaque under bonnet. I've not really inspected a UK build under a fine tooth comb but I agree a couple of bits could have been accomplished a little better with more attention to detail but I'm a per...

Re: sport evo in black on pistonheads
Even though I really do love the E30, no matter how rich I was I just couldn't justify parting with that amount of cash for any 80's scrap, no matter how mint/rare it is. There are better ways to spend that sort of cash, saying that I don't think I would part with 100k on ANY car/money pit/liability...

The term if it isn't broke don't fix it comes to mind! Why would BMW bother with that to then change it again (completely). Are those batteries defo the original spec or could it be a possible retrofit in place of the AA size batteries like on mine?

Replacement Si board batteries - Varta 500 rst (AA size)?
I've been looking for ages and I cannot seem to find anywhere to purchase a pair of replacement Si board batteries. They are for the early Si board with the AA size red Varta 500 rst batteries - not the latter smaller size sanyo type on the facelift cars.
Any ideas?
