Re: New M3

Okay, you're probably right.

Not.

It's marketing. Don't be so naive.

It makes the car look like it's got a 3rd party Nissan Skyline kit.

Horrible.

Carbon roof as standard is nice tho.

Re: New M3

No it isn't.

It's marketing nonsense. To 'emascualte' it. Like the M - Button on the wheel. Every boy racers Kinghtrider fantasy made true.

Oh yes, the engine is just so massive they had to bulge the bonnet to contain it.

Come on man.

Kinghtrider was awesome.

Re: just a little favour please someone?

Don't fit the kit without the whole thing.

And don't fit it with the whole thing either.

Just fit some SE skirts and that's cool.

Re: New M3

It looks crap. Looks like a Lexus Soarer. Or any other 'sschlick' Jap coupe. This is not an E30 V new M3 debate so let's leave that parked. I just think their stuff is getting really really bland. Bonnet bulge is marketing bollocks. The fron valance is nice but as a whole it's just too safe. Nice an...

Tech 2 skirts sit a little lower than that Maxfield.

Re: Brainmooore - Heated REAR electric seats...?

That does make sense. I'd have to split the accessoy panel feed to power 2 looms and then perhaps uprate the fuse as you said. Wouldn't it confuse the relay? If I switch the left rear seat on, wouldn't that also heat up fornt left to etc? I can't believe Brianmoooore has gone for 3 weeks! Maybe he's...

True.

Then I need to find out the max load for front loom/relay/fuse and see if it will cover it?

Right?

Need to know what the rear elements draw first tho.

Then I also need to know what the hell you're on about.

I kind of get what you're saying but need to translate that into hardware needs.

Re: Brainmooore - Heated REAR electric seats...?

Need an expert :D I can see problems doing that. I'm not sure what thye relay / fuse and wiring was designed to power. Also, I want the rears to have their own switches. Then there's also the 2 levels of heat. Conventional wisdom would be to just 'extend' front loom to the feed the rear with 2 more ...

Re: Brainmooore - Heated REAR electric seats...?

BALLS! I'm sure there are other bright sparks that could help. I think I'll have the elemnts fitted anyway and the I can figure out the wiring another day. The safest / best approach might be to use the 3rd party wirirng and find a way to mate their loom to the OEM switches. It can't be that difficu...

Brainmooore - Heated REAR electric seats...?

Just got hold of some heated front leather sport seats for my Touring and am currently having my rears re-trimmed to match. An electrical techy question tho: I have the option of fitting heated rear elements to the rears, but want to use OEM switches (maybe mounted in the doorcard nect to the window...

Re: Another low miler...

I've read the EvoII is the most desirable but I would rather have an Evo sport any day of the week... I've seen 2 Evo sports for sale for 25k... one 26k miles and concours another new engine from BMW and a BMW respray both worth that IMO. I'd still give a concours car some stick, M3's are made for ...

Re: Another low miler...

Evo II's are the one's to get apparently. Not much more an EVO Sport has for a lot more dough. I've been messing with the idea of an M3 for a while (have 2 E30's) but would not want to spend more than 12K - I just don't think that they are worth that, unless they're a EVO Sport that is some kind of ...
