Wipers stutter on intermittent/single wipe
Hi there guys, My 318i wipers are stuttering on intermittent and on single wipe (flick switch downwards) modes. I know from the "Windscreen wiper faults" article on the zone that I just need to open it up and clean the contacts, but problem is the articles aren't available now and no one has shifted...

Re: What mileage do you get?
I get a similar range with my M40B18 318i too.
I'm not sure what can be done tho. Perhaps a top overhaul might help seeing as it's done 245k+ k ms now.

Re: Mileage
My '91 318i 4dr auto has got about 240,000+ kms on it now.
Nothing wrong since I got it in March last year, still able to rev all the way to 6k.

Oh OK, yeah it makes sense, that bit about having a larger centerbore, then adjusting the fit for a specific car. ;) Just wondering if there are any cons to having such a setup, versus a rim that already has a proper 57.1mm cb. I'll be heading down to my local wheel shop this weekend if I have the t...

Re: Is there a negative effect from using non-E30 wheels?
Thanks for the welcome Ziggy and fuzzy! :D Oh dang, I had indeed completely forgot about CB (that's center bore size right?). But as far as I have seen, most wheel shops don't even display what the CB size of a wheel is. I'm assuming if it's not 57.1mm, then it's gonna need hubcentric spacers or som...

Is there a negative effect from using non-E30 wheels?
Hi guys, I've been reading the forums here alot, but this is my first post. :) Quick intro, my name's Nick and I'm from Malaysia and I have a '91 E30 M40B18 4dr that's pretty much stock at the moment. I've been looking at upgrading my 14" bottlecaps to a set of 15" or 16" and one of the things I kee...
