Have not even started yet. Was dead set on getting rid of car and now a friend is trying to get me to take it apart. Don't even know if it is big end bearings but that seems to be the general consensus!

Come on, some one knows about cams,,,, surely?????????

Same question, I have bought a cam for a 325 with cat, I don't have a cat, can I still fit it? what is the worst/best that can happen? Someone suggested that the timimg attachment on the end could be different depending on whether it has a cat or not.

The cam is a new part from GSF and it is for an "e30 325 with a cat", some of them do have cats as I saw one last Friday, it was an F reg sport, at least I am pretty sure it had one, would not want to bet my life. Any way I am going to climb under to see if mine has a cat or not.

Is a 272/272 a standard one?

Cam advice

I have a 1986 325 sport and my cam is on way out, at least that is what the mechanic suggested, I need advice on best/cheapest solution i.e. recon head or replacement cam or maybe something a little sportier if not too expensive.
