Pedal feel and travel does not reflect how good a pad is. A decent pad will make your car stop quicker in a shorter amount of distance, it will not make your pedal compression feel any 'firmer' as such. stumbled upon this topic in my searches but anyway... has anyone here heard of replacing the e30 MC with an e38 MC? The 'spongey' pedal feel is a general e30 thing. The e38 Master Cylinder will harden up the pedal feel. Haven't done it myself yet ($$$) but plenty of other e30 goers in Aust have. Non...

im pretty sure my car already has a 325i AFM, the last owner put it on i think. what the difference between an AFM and a Mass flow meter?

thanks ed325i. djezd... 800pound is about $2000 here, I'd struggle to find a 325i at all for that price hehe theyre pretty rare here, i may aswell go a full haltech system in that case...

Worn gearstick bushings. Happens to all e30's. To fix the problem just get a short shift kit, you'll be laughing.

p.s. the weird noise (starter motor sounds) is probably the starter motor trying to engage, just the engine isn't working with it. Don't try and engage it for too long or you might burn out the starter motor. Also if a starter motor is not working properly (or not working at all) then it shouldn't m...

I've got the same problem, car starts with a cold engine in 2 seconds, but a different story when its hot.
