After having a good look i found the top rad hose to be very hot but the bottom one cold.
Sounds to me like water pump failure
Agree??? or could it still be something else?
Cheers
Ash

Running Hot - Causes
Ive owned my 320 for a few months now and all has been great. When i first got the car the coolant temp always sat just below the half mark. Recently i've notices that the fan has been running a lot and the temp has been gradually climbing. It now sits at the 3/4 mark which is worrying me, occasiona...

Central Locking
I hear the central locking is prone to failing on the E30, which mine has done.
What are the common causes? Easy fix?
Cheers in advance

I have a slight wurring form the rear of my 320 which i thought may be slightly binding brakes. After reading a buying guide in BMWCar i understand its likely to be the diff. It says that a noisy diff is quite common and not necessarily anthing to worry about straight away What are your thoughts / e...

Re: 320 Maintenance help
Thanks guys, i think for peace of mind i'll get that lot done.
Is it likely the clutch is on its way out if the biting point is very high? It doesn't seem to be slipping or crunching but a slight concern if its going to be a costly job.
