Mobile Valeting Recommendations Please
Hi all I had a full detail done on my car last year. Since then I have used the 2 bucket method and various cleaning solutions to maintain the paint in good condition. I am very short of time these days and with the car sat on the street it's not looking great. The hosepipe ban is not going tp help ...

Hi all No longer an E30 owner, nor a BMW for that matter I am looking at getting back into the BMW fold :D with an E39 Touring. Following the birth of my son last month, I need a 'baby wagon' and have discounted the more sensible choices. I was looking at a Lexus IS 300 Sport Cross (good spec. and R...

What are these E30 items?
Hi all Not been on here much since selling the E30. Just clearing out all my E30 related stuff as the 325i Cab went a while ago. Can anyone tell me what the technical name for this is and how much it's worth if anything: http://img138.imageshack.us/img138/4903/l1050044.jpg Uploaded with ImageShack.u...

Re: H&R Cup kit - experiences?
I bought a Cup Kit from Sal for my convertible. It was a -60/40mm setup. I later changed the springs to -30mm all round.
Great ride, over the stock set up, car felt very stable at speed and with uprated ARBs and a strut brace, felt quite a bit more sturdy. Looked great too

Re: Stolen Hardtop
My blue hardtop was stolen on Christmas Eve 2006 along with my stereo. It was parked outside my flat with the alarm on. It was stolen to order no doubt about it. I also live in North London. Luckily, I was able to claim on the insurance and got a black replacement one through the BMW Car Club. In fa...

Re: Anyone sold an E30 recently without hassle ?
I sold mine last month. It was on here, Pistonheads and Car and Classic. I had no issues with the three Ts (timewasters, test-pilots and tyre-kickers). I had loads of calls offering me money before they'd seen the car in the metal and you can tell how genuine these people are anyway. In the end, it ...

Re: Lowering my cab
I used -60/40mm H&R Cup Kit with 16" Alpinas that rubbed on the back.
I then changed to -30mm Springs with Cup Kit shocks and 15" BBS and that sorted it.
You can get the springs from the Zone Shop.

Re: ****Stolen*****
Sorry to hear this. As Simon says, Design Covertibles are rare (v. limited production run) and in the future, a good example will fetch good money. I had a hardtop nicked off my cab in the middle of the night. It was no opportunist theft. Car was targetted for a blue OE hardtop. They are very vulner...

Specs. / Prices for a 1998 E39 528i SE
Can someone give me the standard UK spec. for a 1998 E39 528i SE? I have looked around and keep coming up with the US spec. The car I am interested in is specified as follows: - Ex-demo car with 32,000 miles and full BMWSH (no issues with the M52 Block - confirmed to me by BMW UK) - 2 Former keeper...
