You could probably use a solenoid to open the throttle during cold starts.

Did you get the Super ETA over there? The SETA head will work but isn't as good as a real 885

Could you possibly take pictures of your fuel pump placement? And are you using a pressure regulator? Could you post pictures of that setup as well please?

So different choke sizes can change your power:torque bias? This couldn't be done with fuel injection.... could it?

Super ETA has the 885 (325i) head but I think it has less camshaft bearings meaning it itsn't designed for as high RPMs as the normal 885
