Re: My e30 just died!
Made me cringe listening to it as i went to pull up! Half my coolant had boiled so I'm guessing it was the radiator. It didnt loose any oil but what was on the end of the dipstick smelt rather bad, I didn't risk sticking my head under the bonnet to check under the filler cap as I was at the side of ...

Re: The overall better car BMW E30 M3 OR VAUXHALL ASTRA VXR
Pretty sure the astra vxr is pretty swift, 60 comes in 6.4 seconds according to Parkers. But its all through the front wheels so it torque steers like a dog and handles like a shopping trolley. E30 M3 may not be as quick but it's in a different league handling wise and although I haven't driven eith...

My e30 just died!
Was on my way from London to Chesterfield and about 20 miles from getting there my temperature shot up, I lost power and had a cloud of steam coming from under the bonnet. I'm assuming the rad's gone but I think it may have taken the engine with it. Before I pulled up the engine sounded awful so I'm...

Re: Spark plugs in an M42: Pain in the arse!
unfortunately the bmw tool kit in mine is pretty much empty! I wouldn't mind trying to complete it at some point. Tried sticking the new plug in the tool, that's how I found out that it only just grips the thread but not enough to stop it slipping off. I'm getting a better tool off someone I know, s...

Spark plugs in an M42: Pain in the arse!
As the last few years of my e30s service history is missing and the previous owner didn't really do alot to it, I thought it would be an idea to give it a proper service. Bought myself a set of new sparks today and a spark plug spanner but I didn't get very far as I couldn't get the first one I trie...

Re: Tempory insurance
There is no need for temp insurance. Simply renew you Pug insurance, then after 19 days change it over to the E30. they will then calculate how much more/less it will cost. That wouldn't work as I'm planning on using a different company, and I need to start the new policy on the 19th in order to ma...

Tempory insurance
Could do with someone pointing me in the right direction here. My current policy on my peugeot finishes on the 1st September, and I was planning on waiting untill the 19th (my birthday) to insure my new E30 as this would save me hundreds seeming as I have no ncb and all. However that leaves me with ...

Re: My new 318 IS
ouch, is that for new ones? I looked on ebay earlier and could only seem to find used. Should have used that as more of a bargaining tool... there's 3 on the car at the minute but for some reason they are all black in the centre rather than having the bmw logo

My new 318 IS
Bought it yesterday morning. It needs the odd bit doing here and there, quite a bit of a dint on the rear three quarter that will probably need a trip to the body shop, plus I need to find myself a new set of bbs centre caps. If someone could point me in the right direction as to where i can find th...
