My 316 automatic ranged between 22-26mpg around, i struggled to get near 30mpg. That was with a well maintained and serviced engine, tried different petrol stations, filling tyres to correct amount.

Yup they just need a Vin or REg. Took mine to the garage in birmingham, and as I was leaving the showroom the guy handed me a spec sheet of my car. He said he has always admired them. There wasnt much however to my spec sheet being a 316i lol

Sorry to cause confusion I still have the hydraulic cyclinder. This is a random picture i took off google. But I cant find the second white adjuster screw.

The light in problem is the one with the bosch sticker on it. It only has one screw adjuster - which doesnt seem to do anything but twist. I cant seem to find the second adjuster screw.
Any ideas to repair this?

Hi, Well my nearside(passenger side) beam is slightly out and shines light towards the pavement rather than the road, and both dipped lamps are shining out around 5 feet ahead, not much when your driving on country roads 8O . You don't have trouble with your heating do you as my fan stopped working iv changed the fan and the resister still nothing No I checked it today and there is no fault with the heating. So i took it to midlandbm and they suggested changing the air filter and then suggested dizzy cap. When I asked one of their mechanics about blue temp sensor test he said 'whats that' quiet worrying but he was young kid about my age 22

It is so annoying not knowing what is wrong. I dont want to keep replacing parts which dont need replacing just so I know what is the cause of the problem. Will take it to a specialist (midlandbm) tomorrow down the road, hope he knows.

Havent found the problem yet. Took to a local e30 garage today they said it could be AFM, but i doubt it. It isnt look too hopeful at the moment

I thought it could be this,if it isnt the Blue Temp Sensor then what could it be? My thoughts initially were a dodgy fuel pump or something simple clearly not.

I have tried changing that or thought of it. It starts first time round never a problem, but when one of the scenarios stater in the original post, thats when I have a problem to start the car, it normally does start first time round after it cuts out too, but today it took a few attempts.

As Fastroad said, if a car has been repaired privately it wont hit the insurance write off list. Hence will remain HPI clear, or if the previous owner got it repaired through his own body shop of choice and passed the bill onto third party insurers. If that makes sense. I have made a log of all interaction from the point of crash and will be forwarding this on to my insurance company. I shall be using my motor legal expenses cover to full use now.

She has told her insurance I have told mine there are mixed views. My insurance have said its most like both parties to be at fault. But we will see.
