Here's my track car.

Pic taken in the pit lane at Spa in June.

It's a Mitsubishi Starion Turbo, that I've spent way to much money on. Behind is MissG's 325i trackday car.

Isn't one too many? This came from a friend who organises a lot of trackdays. He told me it came up in a meeting with other organisers. He mentioned it whilst talking about another mates crash at Castle Coombe last week. I admit that was in a race, but he was very lucky. I'd never really thought of ...

Re: What basic upgrades for a track day 325i?

buy it, drive it , enjoy it first. Then start thinking about moding it. You won't be disapointed, I did exactly that. Drove Donnington with just some green stuff pads and it was ace. Obvioulsy would be better with new tyres, new adjustable suspension, new cage, new seats, new box, new exhaust, new ...

15 years on the see front!! Not bad going. I had a Starion that was 2 owners and 60k miles, but about the only bit that wasn't rusty was the glass. That was only 8 years on the seafront.

Salt, you gotta love it!

Mine will be parked in the car park. E30's are cool, but probably not what the guy in his company BMW can understand. I left the Porsche club, due to snobbery and it was full of people that owned the car to be seen in it and hadn't got a clue about the heritage cars. Same happened with the Lancer Tu...

It wasn't bad, although I'm not an airfield fan. It was a shakedown day for my track car. Before I do Le Mans in two weeks!!!

It's just had a big cam, management, inlet, turbo etc. etc.......

Also MissG's first time out in her 325i.

Colerne Sat 30th June

Did anybody from here go to the Motorsport events day at Colerne on Saturday? There were a pair of 325is there. One was MissG's, just wondered if the other was a zoner. :) I could have asked, but if you'd seen the weather, you'd understand why I spent the day on track or in the back of the van.:(
