Not liking the beige idea! What colour is the one you have and what condition is it in?

Re: Help needed!
£70-£90 for a great condition one £30-£70 for good condition £0-£30 for crap is what I'd price them up at. Any more and the seller is taking the pish  Your not wrong there! It's funny, I spoke to the bloke again yesterday. Told him that price was too rich for my blood. Lo and behold, after 5mi...

Oops! seems I was a bit slow there!
No he didn't say it was super rare, he said it was a specific carpet for the sport, all sport carpets are grey and if i didn't want it he'd put it online for £200!
I thought £160 was a but steep!

Hi All,
I'm looking for a grey carpet for my E30 325i Sport, just spoken to a guy who says he has one in good condition. He also said the carpet in a sport is different to a normal E30 (is this true?) and he wants £160 for it. Opinions please.

No con's get's my vote! Straight swap even better, I'd heard folks going on about having to balance the crank as well.
Anything else I should know before undertaking this type of mod?

Flywheel query?
I've seen a lightened and balanced flywheel for the M20 engine and I'm considering getting one and fitting it. Do I need to change anything else or is it as simple as a straight swap?
Also what are the pros and cons of a lightened and balanced flywheel?

Possibly. Another tyre i rate are Michelin pilot sport 2's. Had these on my old E46 Alpina and they were outstanding in the dry. Bloody expensive though. :( You can say that again, Just had a quote of £528 for 4 (Pilot Sport) or £428 (Conti), but I get the alignment free of charge. Which size? Whic...

Re: The Neverending Tyre Debate
Toyos are popular because they are cheap! The fact there wide available might have a factor too. I can find loads of prices for these (all pretty similar), but I can't find many for some of the other recommendations, none for Bridgestones. There again they wouldn't get that many votes if they were ...

bridgestone have been a fave of mine for a good while. I'll be honest e30's suffer from poor tyre choice and shite tyres like falken, nexen, kumho etc just dont help. Buy properly save your paint not your pennies! Your not wrong about tyre choice! it's SHOCKING. There are quite a few cheap almost u...

[quote="TouringMatt"]What size you after? Standard size 205/55/15. Definitely a hard decision, looked at Conti's too and Kleber and even Dunlops, but boy are they pricey. [quote="Ant"]avoid the nexen/riken/woosung kinda brands though, Kuhmo best budget choice IMHO. Do you rate the Kumho's or Sportra...

Are Toyos really that good? In my comparison to the Falken ZE912s i now run they are. I dont push my car that hard these days, but have nearly been caught out twice now on damp roads, never had a sniff of trouble with the Toyos unless i was being a preeek. In fact i tore a side wall at 50+ on a fro...

Re: The Neverending Tyre Debate
Are Toyos really that good? I'm tempted to try them from whats been said. As I've said before the only tyres I've had experience with in the 8 years I've own my E30 are Pirellis which were shite and just disappeared, and the NCT5s. Which are good tyres, never had a problem with grip in the the dry o...

The Neverending Tyre Debate
Hi all, I need to get 4 new tyres for my 1989 325i Sport, the question is what ones? I want good all round tyres for a reasonable price. I've got Goodyear Eagle NCT5s on currently, there good tyres, but damn noisy. A mate of mine who's a mechanic has recommended either AVON ZV5s or FALKEN ZE912s, tr...

You're just going to have to make your own mind up with regards to suspension! E30 M3 front control arm bushes are eccentric and add more castor angle, stabilising the steering at high speed and adding extra self centreing to the steering, well worth it! E46 cabriolet rear damper top mounts are an ...
