Re: Battery to get me home?
Oh, cool! Looks like I won't need the battery now. There was someone selling a three door '89 325i that needs a new battery, timing belt, and a new MOT, so I made an offer as suggested - they refused my offer and are going to scrap the car!!!! I asked if my offer was unacceptable, what would t...

Battery to get me home?
I'm going to look at a 1989 e30 325i next week, and it needs a new battery. I have a 316i touring battery - will that fit in just to get me home? Is the battery on the 325i in the boot or up front? Any advice will be appreciated. Don't want to buy a battery before seeing the car and it's out in the ...

Changing back to standard suspension...............
I have a 316i Touring with a 70/50 lowering kit. I now have to use my car for work which involves carrying heavy loads, so need her back to standard, or at least not so low that the wheels foul the arches under a full load. Also, I cannot stand the uncomfortable, bumpy ride on the country roads wher...

Re: My 318i Touring, How much is it worth?
Sorry to hear about the accident. Your touring looks like she was in really great condition. I'm always following touring prices and have seen lots up for sale from 500 to 2,500 GBP with low mileage. I think 1,000 should be a good guesstimate for a late model touring..........
Good luck!

Re: Rubber bump stops?
Thanks for confirming this
The ride is quite bumpy on country roads, fine on main road and motorways - so will fitting these new parts make it any less bumpy or is the rough ride down to my dampers/spring setup?

Rubber bump stops?
I took the wheels off the other day for a bit of a clean up and noticed what I think are the rubber bump stops, or what's left of them that is.............can anyone confirm if this is indeed what they are please? I have seen replacements cheap on ebay, but will they fit my up-rated shocks? TIA http...

Front fog lights not working.......
They used to be temperamental, but now the little light for the front fogs on the dashboard doesn't come on, or the fog lights themselves. The bulbs are okay, so I assume it's the relay or the interior switch itself? I have taken both out and checked the connections and they're clean......... Any id...

Long time no post.........316i Touring still going strong
Hey guys, don't know how many of you remember me as haven't been on for a while. I still own the trusty E30 and she's going strong and passing MOTs first time after 11 years of ownership, although admittedly, she's showing her age a bit now...... Mileage is on 96,000 miles. Here's a couple of pics.....

Rear view mirror
I managed to knock the rear view mirror off on my touring. It's not broken, but it's a tough spring loaded type fitting. I can't access the area to give enough force to knock it back. Any suggestions?
I'm hoping the head lining doesn't need to come off.
Cheers

Re: Funny E30 stories about racing modern cars on the street
I took out a 911 in my 316i..........you should have seen the Porsche driver's face as he watched me fly past!!!! (he was in a lay-by with an AA man tinkering under the 911's hood at the time). I fondly remember another time I steamed away from a three-wheeler at the lights. The lucky bugger took me...

Re: Vinyl Wrap
I used to apply vinyl to cars, trucks and signs for a living, and believe me, it takes a lot of practice (unless you're a natural). If you get the slightest bit of dirt or dust underneath it looks really crappy. P.S. I hate to admit, but in the early 90s I applied Ford Motorsport zebra stripes to my...

Can't believe people like these on an E30. Horses for courses I guess.
