Re: rev drop?
Lately my 1990 320i behaves strange when I drive slow with clutch up and around 1200 rpm and then press it and stop the engine drops idle like it get's in some kind of stall mode and when I try to move in first it jerks a bit and then pulls off, and after that drives like a dream. I hunted and sorted all vacuum leaks, tested with carb cleaner..seems fine now but I can't guarantee it still leaks a little somewhere. Fuel pressure will be checked, and rubber hoses are replaced last year, also fuel filter last summer But weird thing is if I let the key during cranking it will fir...

Re: M20 cranking too long!
Reads like lack of fuel or fuel pressure to me,so you are looking for a possible poor seal to an injector,or a failing FPR or seal. Injectortune in the UK repair and service injectors,I expect that the postage cost for you is a little high, but I expect that you will be able to find a local guy who ...

M20 cranking too long!
My M20 used to start like a dream and now it's awful, almost twice a day when engine is cold it cranks for about 4-5 seconds.
I need something to start with since I don't know what can be the problem?
Sometimes during the cranking if I let the hand of the key it starts by itself, but pretty roughly

driveshaft/clutch clunking?
I don't know is this common for these cars but loads of E46 I've driven don't have this issue. Anyway, when I lift clutch to the bite point and give it slight gas and moving If I not lift it up full it starts to make noise under car like loud ''tktktkt'' and when I press it quickly down I can hear '...

320i and Alpina exhaust manifold?
I have a call from a friend today who is braking some rusty 325i and said it has Alpina exhaust manifold on!
This is pretty cool stuff I know but what gains can I achieve if I put it on my 320i?

clutch stop?
I want to know more about this simple mod.
Reading over the internet I realized it's very popular in USA
worth it in our cars? Anyone using it?
TBH I use Z4 shifter in mine and clutch doesn't follow it really in shifting speed...too long pedal move

I use mine on JOM every day...and I don't hit anything on the road, car is pretty low but still decent plus front IS lip at the front. Ride is fine, supple, and much more pleasant that on previous setups I had Bilstein B6 plus H&R sports and my teeth were falling out over bumps, I needed to change t...

I would be replacing all the bushes, check the top mounts and the steering coupler and see what it's like after that

Re: couple of questions
Rev. counter problem is the most common minor fault that occurs with the lithium battery powered SI boards. Doesn't cause any problems, and the only cure I know of is to fit a board that isn't faulty. Vibration: ggod luck finding this, bur what happens if you knock the car out of gear when it's occ...
