I hunted and sorted all vacuum leaks, tested with carb cleaner..seems fine now but I can't guarantee it still leaks a little somewhere. Re: M20 cranking too long!

Reads like lack of fuel or fuel pressure to me,so you are looking for a possible poor seal to an injector,or a failing FPR or seal. Injectortune in the UK repair and service injectors,I expect that the postage cost for you is a little high, but I expect that you will be able to find a local guy who ...

M20 cranking too long!

My M20 used to start like a dream and now it's awful, almost twice a day when engine is cold it cranks for about 4-5 seconds.
I need something to start with since I don't know what can be the problem?
Sometimes during the cranking if I let the hand of the key it starts by itself, but pretty roughly

driveshaft/clutch clunking?

I don't know is this common for these cars but loads of E46 I've driven don't have this issue. Anyway, when I lift clutch to the bite point and give it slight gas and moving If I not lift it up full it starts to make noise under car like loud ''tktktkt'' and when I press it quickly down I can hear '...

new OE ones are pretty expensive
my advice is to source very good used ones and then spray them satin black, will look as new.
Don't use any conditioners on trim, looks messy and oily, trim needs to be mat and with no shine.

320i and Alpina exhaust manifold?

I have a call from a friend today who is braking some rusty 325i and said it has Alpina exhaust manifold on!
This is pretty cool stuff I know but what gains can I achieve if I put it on my 320i?

I suppose that main light unit switch needs to be on middle position to work when doors opened?
