URGENT HELP NEEDED! Cabriolet Hood motor picture needed
Hi, I have also posted in the photo section but wasn't sure where's best for this. I am urgently trying to find a clear picture of a E30 cabriolet electric power hood motor. The motor that suffers from shearing but I need a picture of one that isn't sheared (not a repair job, a standard new motor). ...

Cab rear speaker depth?
Hi does anyone know how much room there is in the rear speaker holes in a cabriolet? Just bought some speakers, they're about 60mm deep, just not sure if they're gonna fit! I've done a search and the closest I found to my answer was "about 2inches" but I'm after the exact depth if anyone knows? Thanks

Ok, thanks.
What did it cost you (roughly) to convert to manual and how long did it take?
Did you go for standard 325i gbox?

Ah, ok. It still gets on my nerves a touch though.
I really would like to convert. I'll do a search and look into it, as a seperate project.

Thanks buster, needed to hear it - I had my doubts.
If I take the turbo road, what would you recomend about a manual gearbox? Do I jyst find a standard 325i gbox or should I go for a tougher one from another engine typre? Is it easy to convert?
Thanks again

Any advice on the BEST/EASIEST engine transplant? 325 to M3?
Morning team E30ers, I own a 325i cabriolet auto 1991. I'm looking into the idea of either changing the engine, turbocharging or supercharging, as well as fitting a maual gearbox. My budget will be circa £2000 but I may be able to stretch to £3k at a push. I was thinking of an M3 lump and gearbo...

Re:
Yeah it would mate, mine was already 1.5cm lower in the first pics coz of the Mtec spring hight, so really it's dropped about 5cm front (coz they're coupe springs on the front) and 2.5cm on the rear. Yours wouldn't be quite as low at the front but not far off - only about 1cm difference I recon. You...

Re:
Do cab's sit lower than coupe's then??? coz my car is miles of the ground at the moment.... Cheers aceraf, I think the cabriolets come with Mtec suspension which is 150mm lower than norm, but the cabriolets weigh more so the springs need to be a bit tougher to make up for this - hense the front of ...

Wow, this really is THE E30 website. BadBoy4Life - I'll give you a call this afternoon is that's ok. I think the chap I bought it from (Nottingham) got it from someone in Oxford. Anyway, here's a few pics of her lowered. The springs are GMAX. Rear 40mm cabriolet 325 springs but the front are 325i E3...

Re:
Cheers everyone for the comments. I'm afraid i'm a sucker for big wheels and an uncomfortable ride, (along with poor handling). Plus I've already lowered the front and am planning to drop theback at the weekend. I'll hang onto the original suspension in case I ever change my mind. I'll put some more...

Re: 1991 325i blue Convertible, Mtec, cream leather, Alpinas
Thanks everyone. Yeah the leather is cracked, mainly the drivers seat. I've cleaned the interior up using Autoglym leather cleaner which did remove alot of grime but I didn't think there was much you could do about cracks (apart from re-trim)? No idea what the front bumper is. I thought it was an Mt...

91 325i blue Cab, Mtec, cream lthr, Alpinas - now lowered
Just thought I'd put a few pics of my ride up to see what people think. Off hand, one of the only things I want to do is lower it more (not sure how much yet though). http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w191/RossyB_Pics/Sun003.jpg http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w191/RossyB_Pics/Sun008.jpg http://...

Widest wheels
Hi. Anyone know what the widest wheels/tyres are that will go on the rear of an E30 and also what widest would be for front?
Off hand would an 9" wide rim with say, 235/40 tyres tuck in the arches without rubage?
Who's got the fattest tryes on this site? Any pics?
Thanks

Hi all. Front Cabriolet lowering springs - 45mm or 50mm??
Hi everyone - impressive forum you have here, glad to be a part of the E30 world! Just bought myself a 91 convertible 325i. Really pleased with it so far. Looking a dropping the front a bit. The back looks ok but the front sits up too high for my liking. I'm trying to work out how much to lower it b...

Re: how low shall i go?
17's with 215/40's dude, they are fairly tight offset wise on the rear, but I have had two passengers to kent and back (done about 130 miles that night) with no issues. Just a bit of care required when negotiating speed bumps and all is good. What are the offsets d6dph? Do you have different...
