If you look under the Articles section at the top and in the technical menu. You will find information for removing and refitting the on board computer. Should tell you everything you need to know.

by the way... this should probably be in the 'technical help' section

TOP SPEEDS?

What sort of top speeds have you seen out of your motor? Have managed to see 145mph on the clock in my 325i (not on a public highway, obviously  that would be illegal) got a video of the clocks somewhere. will try and find it. reckon it would have squeezed out another 5mph before hitting the li...

Opinions please!!! How much would you say it's worth? it is a red 4 door model with 17" multispoke alloys (resently refurbished in a silver and flip) 205/40/17 tyres that are almost new. Mtech 2 spoiler, Recaro front seats. (drivers seat a bit worn), White plasma dials (the numbers light up blue and...

The red e30 in worthing to which you are refering originated in Southampton and belonged to my mate Rob, who put the 'e30' badge on the back. I believe it now lives in Lancing but am unsure where. It is a 325i. (engine added by myself and Rob) the badge is actually from a merc!

Trade Only in Hamble. Currently have a resto job on a 323i on the go as well as a love for the cars. Do a good job at a good price. I've known the owner for years and I sometimes help out. Might be worth you getting a quote.

Am running the standard rubber mounts. At the risk of sounding a little on the simple side... I didn't know changing to solid mounts was an option. Does the engine not need the rubber mounts then? It's mainly used as a road car, doesnt see the track very often. Altough it doesn't get a simathetic li...

Brighton! How many e30's?!?

I drive to Brighton and Worthing everyday and the number of E30's I see is incredible. There seems to be more there than anywhere else.

Are many of the owners enthusiasts?

Does anyone know more about this strange phonomenon?

Am in the middle of changing a 316i auto into a 325i manual and thats not too bad. Just a couple of small details to change. Wiring, fuel pump and a few other bits. Not sure on the differences from auto to manual on a 325 though.

Good luck anyway.

Yep, Should keep us busy for a few days. I think the main concern at the momnet is the wiring loom and having to remove the dash to change it. I haven't looked at it yet but Rob say's it could be difficult.

Cheers mate. I've certainly got a bit more confidence in doing tohe job now. :D

Engine change

My friend Rob has a 316i auto and has recently got hold of a 325i with a rotten shell. The plan is to change the engines and all running gear, suspension, brakes etc... Was just wondering if anyone had any tips or know of any problems we may encounter whilst doing this? Any info could be a big help....
