Re: Rattling from front of engine
id second the waterpump mate, usually the impellor breaking down and rattling about, will get worse the more you drive, does it overheat or has it overheated since the rattle started sounding? if so it could be the waterpump.

Ive recently bought an e30 and im experiencing what feels very much like boost cut on turbo cars. Basically, driving along no matter what speed give it some throttle regardless of how much it feels like ignition cutting out, the revs drop down to idle speed untill you roll to a halt then cuts out bu...

Tried the search button but could not find alot on this. Just wanted to know are there any differences between front wings across the range of bodystyles i.e would a wing of a tourer fit a 2 door?

Just got a bit of an electrical issue with my car. The battery goes flat and im led to believe that its possibly casued by a constant drain on the battery. I find that the electric window and sunroof buttons are constantly lit up even once youve locked up and walked away. Is this the cause and whats...

I waited for it to come out the bleed nipple once it done this i started the car. Ran the car for about 30mins and let a...

Re: front end rattle/knocking
right guys, took the car out today, got up the road and it started squealing as in a loose belt squealing noise, so i thought ok, thats what the noise is and also the handbrake and battery warning light came up so i thought the alternator belt must be loose. I Pull up to the junction and notice stea...

front end rattle/knocking
just been driving my car today and noticed a rattling/knocking noise coming from the engine. Pulled over to look and it seemed to come from the front of the engine, sounded a bit like a loose pulley or something that has come loose. The sounds more apparent at idle but as you drive the sound is cons...

Re: Fitting HID's
i suggest using the loom and connecting it like in the pic no need to cut any wires out, its all pretty much "plug and play" and then do as brianmoore has suggested and unplug the two connectors on the LH inner wing to bypass the check system. Which is something i might do as my check light stays on.

Re: Fitting HID's
i fitted my hid's and its best to use the supplied loom, even though the check light will still appear as it thinks one bulb is out. Unless theres a way to overcome this? Below is a pic of the kit which was similar to mine. http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n254/mojangles_200/HID.jpg It shouldnt ta...

Re: Engine cuts out, idle problem??
ive checked the air pipes, all is fine no cracks or leaks. Have not yet cleaned out the ICV but could it be this? or would the extra load on the engine from the hids cause the revs to drop to such a low point where the engine cuts out? Saying that it doesnt matter whether the hids are on or off, sti...

Engine cuts out, idle problem??
Just been out for a drive and my car stalls when ever you approach a junction or dip the clutch, its a 2.0 m20. The car does have a cold start issue with it idling rough but it cuts out now even when its warm which it never used to do before. It was alright last night just starting playing up after ...
