Hi all, sorry if already done to death - I have looked with no success.

Thanks in advance

Re: 318i m40 auto to manual - 325i m20 box fit?
ok thanks for the quick reply. How about the other way around, ie m40 man box (getrag 240???) to the 325i? I presume looking at the wiki pages that the box will fit, but what about diff and prop? Thanks again, Alex

318i m40 auto to manual - 325i m20 box fit?
As above, will m20 manual box fit m40? Reason for this is eventually I will drop in an m20 and don't want to have to buy another box. Any suggestions on prop and diff? Thanks in advance. Alex

Re: Pre facelift engine swap

However you will need an e34 sump and oil pickup, manual box etc. If the 730 is cheap enough th...

Re: Do you really need to coppergrease new brake pads?
Yes you should. Although they might not squeel at the moment, they may do in the future. All the squeel is vibration of the pad at such a frequency thay it squeels, if you get me. Copper grease ensures this wont happen, even under heavy aplication of the brakes. BMW mechanics (and most mechanics) us...

Yeh the welds are crappy, im new to this welding lark, the main stress points, ie the top and bottom have been 'properly' welded, i only welded the brace parts if you get me. Oh well if it brakes whats the worst that can happen.Actually PLEASE dont answer that!Cheers Alex
