Re: Some more pics of my 325t
in regards to the spacers, i got them from ebay. They were brand new and bolt on type, but they were for a mk2 golf, which meant i had to get the centres machined out to the right diameter. It only cost an extra £5, think they do them for e30 but they didnt have any in stock! and it goes quite wel...

Re: diff ratio for a turbo...?
i just had a fear that if i put on a 3.64 it would kill some of the low end power, as the 4.41 seemed to make a posotive difference beofore the turo was on. I know it makes sense to change as 4.41 is very wrong, but i was under the impression the 3.94 would be the best of both. Well ill give it a tr...

diff ratio for a turbo...?
hey guys, i have a turbo 325 currently running 220bhp and 260lbs of torque. (Small turbo) I decided to be crazy and put a 4.41 diff from a 316 on there to get faster acceleration, but im finding it hard to use first and second gear, and it wont keep up with cars it should do past 70mph ish. I have 3...

Ill most likely be in touch over the summer :) one last question, iv currently got a 4.41 diff from a 316 and as you would expect its too over the top for use on the road, so im thinking about putting my 3.64 back in... but im worried that the acceleration wil...

Re: Frount Mount Intercooler on now!
hey again, just got the dyno results for my final setup... initially at 10psi it was making 210bhp at the wheels, but unfortunately it was pinking at top end. So due to the fact i wanted it to last as long as possible, we decided to pull the ignition out a fair bit. Its now making 217bhp at the fly,...

Re: Frount Mount Intercooler on now!
yea i think its an ok job on the silvia, but the guy that fit mine said its a bit harder on the e30 as the bake lines are seperated in a funny way and its hard not to affect the front ones or something? I cant remeber exactly what he said, but yea its an awsome thing to have!

Re: Frount Mount Intercooler on now!
it is indeed the driftworks one! as for fitting it, i didnt fancy messing with the brake lines myself, so i took it to my local genius. He did a really good job, with nice welding and all the proper lines. I think its worth it for something like this as it takes alot of stress so i wouldnt wanna bod...

Re: Frount Mount Intercooler on now!
sure! Im not the most well off person ever, which is why this project has stretched my limits a little! The turbo and intercooler themselves are the cheaper parts of doing the job im afraid. The bigger expense is the manifold, ecu and then dyno time to set it all up correctly, and then in my case, i...

Re: Frount Mount Intercooler on now!
i was a little worried about it blocking the rad, but as it get narrower towards the top, the rad has a good 7 inches or so on the left side (in the top pic) and some air should still pass through the intercooler, so im hoping thats enough. Ive given her a good test with 5psi and there is no problem...

I do alot of drifting so have the handbrake and buckets for that, otherwis...

Frount Mount Intercooler on now!
Hey again, continuing my turbo project, i have just changed from the small nissan 200sx intercooler i had inside the engine bay, (which i have now learned had a whole in it giving me a nice boost leak), to a nice new front mount. Now this is done i can book it back in for the last part of the rollin...

Re: E30 M3 CAD model
that looks pretty cool!
im pretty sure i can save it to one of those file types. Ill post back up on here when ive added a few finishing touches. Does the model need a floor or cvan it be a hollow shell? And do you create the colours and textures at your end, or do i have to do that here??
cheers

Re: E30 M3 CAD model
the prgram i used to make the model itself is called alias studio tools 13.5, and the file is just called alias.wire i think as it is youl need alias yourself to open it, but i know there is a way to save it in a different format. What format would you need?? not really sure what a 3d printer is no!...

E30 M3 CAD model
Hey all, a few weeks ago there was a CAD modelling thread on here, which inspired me to have a quick go at an e30 m3. Its still a working progress as i havent managed to render it in the better program, but its coming along nicely. What do you think...? http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q34/jondrif...
