Free 17 inch rubber for drifto

4x 235/40/17 Eagle F1, been trackdayed on heavy soft car & worn on all outer/inner edges, but middles are all ok mostly 5mm, perfect for drifto madness, road legal on all but one which is tad too slick on the outer. Free, gratis, nowt, zero denero, but even if you only want a pair you take away 4 th...

Re: Trackday pads

Ive run ebc yellows on 5 difernet track cars of mine- Golf2, E36 M3, Mx5 S/C'd, E30 325 & Porsche 924S. I'm happy with them for the price not the best by far but last ok for cheap pads, yet all have had the exact same issue- Push hard 1st session & there will be an utter fade to failure point, pussy...

Woody, all depends on the car, a discovery for instance can legally tow 3.5t but it weighs sub 2.5t Most- but not all of the big 4x4s are 3.5t towing weight (my 2.8 pajero was similar weight vehicle but had a lower towing weight, 3.3t I think & something like the Volvo XC90 which isa big 2+ tonne 4x...

Re: Brake prep before the 'Ring

Can't agree with you there, I find 'ring extremily light on brakes, heck you only brake properly hard a few times unless you are in somthing very very quick or are an utter novice or drive like a bell end. Plus its not mega speed loss areas other than if you are in something ridiculously quick & eve...

'ring aint nowt on brakes vs somewhere like donny, can't quite belive youve got on so well with green stuff, i find en utter cack, can't even hack road use, I get on well with ebc yellow my self, but if you are happy with greens stick with 'em just stick a new set on & take olds as spares (I couldnt...

Blimey what a misery I am sometimes! :( Happier mood today thankfully :) Weeman I do the harnesses to rear seat belt points, its not ideal at all but is IMHO the best option other than a harness bar. Re: E30 vs E36 track day car?????

Hmm not convinced e36 325/328 faster on track than e30 325i, ive passed many, all depends on the driver really, ive pasted a fair few e36/e46 m3s too, & my e30 is a very very low budget car, but a stripped e30 driven by someone doing trackdays a few yrs vs someone who maybe a novice in trimmed road ...

Not used 'em, but as for top spec, ha ha not likely, will be a road pad that should be able to cope with a bit of tracking, posibly same compund as 1144, tho I tried those & they were not too good really crumbled badly on track. For normal road car track & race compounds they go 1144 1155 1166 getti...
