BMW e30 S2 staggered 16 inch borbets and lowering?
Hi all. I recently completed an e30 M30 swap to the stage that it can move under its own power. Since the suspension is still stock 318i I'm in the process of securing upgrage parts i.e heavy duty lowering springs, shocks 51mm struts etc. My question is if you run staggered 16 inch borbet A wheels h...

e30 323i Megasquirt fuel only setup... TPS required?
Hi all. I was in the process of removing the engine from my e30 today and I noticed that the TPS was not plugged in at all, in fact I had to scratch around in the engine bay just to find the plug on the ljet loom. http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a49/varden/IMG_1732.jpg Is this normal for a MS fuel ...

Thread update on getting my engine into PIII! I took my 323i for a trackday on the weekend and while I was prepping it I noticed that the engine mounts in my 323i were significantly shorter than the mounts in my 335i project. 65mm 335i mount. http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a49/varden/P1010126.jpg ...

Gudday Nick I'm Located at Sunnybank Hills, it always helps to compare notes. There are a few of us on Eurocca.net doing the conversion too. As for the flywheel/clutch issue I grabbed an e12 525i M30 7kg flywheel and unused clutch kit off ebay. Got it all for a great price! http://i8.photobucket.com...

Re: M10 flywheel on M30 engine with M20 clutch kit?
They are .de mounts that were made about 3 years ago. I brought them off a local who never used them.
I think I will remove all that sound deadening and apply more hammer, then try again.

Get the engine in position 3 aswell. I'm not sure there is room for these mounts to go back to PIII. http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a49/varden/IMG_0396.jpg But the engine will be coming out and going back in a few more times yet before this car sees any action, so the firewall may get more hammer...

M10 flywheel on M30 engine with M20 clutch kit?
Hi all I'm in the process of fitting an m30 engine and G260 box from an e34 into a facelift e30 and I would like to ditch the dual mass flywheel in favour of a single mass item. The M40 flywheel is a no go and I have a M20 HD clutch kit laying about with options on a couple of second hand HD puck cl...

Leaking oil cooler/filter housing on 325i M20B25!
Yup its leaking, but not where the pipes bolt into the housing as i first thought. But from the circular casting on the underside of the housing, there looks to be a cir clip in there and that is where the oil is leaking from. Is there a pack of washers and o rings under that cir clip? Hopefully it ...

My question is...is there any difference between a SA assembled 318i and the German assembled ones (assuming they were assembled in Germany) I have been led to believe that any car coming out of SA will have an entire car full of different grade and pitch threads for every nut and bolt. I'm in the process of reconnecting the engine harness to the engine etc and I've got a couple of strays with no homes.... The harness is from a 1989 325i with motronic 1.3 Firstly this plug has no home, its not for the airflow meter that ones accounted for. http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a49/varde...
