Re: 731 head?

A 325i (885) gasket is the right bore size, but doesn't it have more water jackets? (think I've used the right terminology) Would that effect it? or should I use a 525ee head gasket? It's just that that gaskets come in sets here, and would be much easier just to get a 325i set. (I have the inlet man...

Sorry, off topic, but what head gasket do you use with the 731 head?

Will a 325i (885) one work?

So to big?
They look a little more complicated than bike throttle bodies to. I might have to go down to a wreckers and check some out.

These are from a Toyota 4AGE...

They come in 42mm or 45mm (to big?)
Would it be to much work to add an extra 2, and make these fit?

The reason I ask is that these are reasonably inexpensive here in NZ compared to bike throttle bodies.

Has anyone used some from a Toyota 4AGE?

Thanks

Yip, a 2.7 question.

I'm taken my 320i into the mechanics this week to let it grow up, and gain an extra 700cc. (using the original 731 head). I've got all the parts (I think), have read HEAPS on the net (sometimes not a good thing, getting contradicting stories), but as I have limited mechanical experience I'm just aft...

AFM = Air Flow Meter, Its the bit attached to your air box. Before the throttle body.

Whats the internal diameter of a 325i AFM?

Is there any difference between the 325i AFM and the 320i AFM?

Thanks

Hey
I'm just building my 2.7 at the moment.

What timing belt are you 2.7 guys using?

i.e: would it be from a 525e or a 320i?

a lil off topic.

Is there any difference between the head on a 320i and a 323i?

There both 731 cast, I know the 323i has a different cam (260/260?), But is there any difference in the valve ports/sizes?

interesting to see how little difference the 2.7 makes in power. is the '/260' torque? Im sure it that is where it would shine.

has any one got any links maybe about b20 turbo's. it's more of an interest thing.

Re: anyone turbo'd an m20b20

well my overall goal would be to have a 2.5 turbo (or 2.7 or 2.8, but unlikely as stroker parts are hard to come by/exspensive over here). it would be interesting to put the turbo kit on the m20b20 first, as i get funds for the M20B25. instead of getting the M20B25, and then the turbo:) i'm curious ...

anyone turbo'd an m20b20

hey (first time caller, long time listener) i was wondering if anyone has turbocharged an m20b20 in a 320i. i know, get a 325i, and turbo that (and thats the plan)...but i'm interested in what results these engines can produce turbocharged. So if you've done it, or heard of any, i'd like to hear fro...
