Sport box it is then :D Ta muchly

Pretty much positive the manual box is a sport item but does anyone have any gen on the numbers?

Yeah I'm not a fan of auto boxes but I have one sat in the garage that i took out to swap for a manual, and as the car is a bit of an enigma i'm not sure if it's a sport box or not. Car seems to be full sport spec bar the headlining but isn't a sport on the logbook :?

Sport gearbox?

Hi, can anyone tell me if there's any difference between the 325 sport manual gearbox and the standard 325 item or is it just the diff that's different?

Also is there any difference in the auto boxes?

i think what i'll probably do is use the tech one engine to get the 2 running for now, as it's pretty solid then strip the tech 1 back to it's bare bones to see just what's needed. I've learnt the hard way from the tech 2 not to trust other peoples work so would rather see where i stand from scratch...

well, after buying an phase 2 sport with a buggered engine a while back, and finding more and more problems with the running gear side of things, i've now gone and bought a rotten phase 1 that's mid rebuild.... so now i've got to try and decide which car to make good from 2 bad ones, or if i should ...

oh yeah, what head did the alpina's use? was it just a ported/flowed 325 head or is there more to it? and the block has 25 6E A stamped on it if that helps anyone guide me in the right direction :? And does anyone happen to know the code of the Alpina ECU? I'm going to go bang my head against a wall...

whereabouts would the c2 27 be stamped? by the engine number at the bottom of the dipstick?

have had a bit of a setback though, despite having paid a deposit on it, the complete engine, the head's been sold :evil:

so now i'm hoping beyond hope that it's a replica 8)

Hopefully someone can give me some help here I've sourced an engine which i believe is from a c2 alpina, but is there any way i can tell, without taking it to bits, if it is the genuine lump or not before i start messing about sticking it in the car? Also, did all the c2's have a sticky diff? Any he...
