My old car! So glad to see it's still looking great. I often wonder where it ended up. Still my favourite car I've owned.

I think they'd pretty much suit any E30, be it an early chromie or late tech 2. Providing whatever they go on was slammed!

I vote to keep the clear indicators. I have them with Silvatec bulbs. Maybe slightly council but I think they suit it. It is now running perfectly again!

The temp sensor must have been the culprit!

Thanks for the replies guys. While I was out earlier my colleague removed and replaced the coolant temp sensor and took it for a run round. He seems to think it's cured the problem so I'll take it home tonight and let you know how I get on.
