sold a small case diff to me as a m3 diff - total time waster and if you want pal ill be happy to pop round and sort this out if you want, so keep winding me up little boy!

hi all
just wondering if anyones made this and would consider making a few as i know 3 other zoners that would be happy to buy if anyone can make some up at a fairly resonable price?

bought a m3 lsd from bob for £250 and did querry the size of the diff but as he had so many diffs taken apart in his garage i assumed he knows more then me got the diff home and it was a small case diff which barely fit and also in the 1st 5 miles it leaked from the prop side told him about it but...

he has a touring and i want to do this to my sport
i see you have a 24v 2.8 in your e30,we're both not ready to go through as much with wiring and the rest of it

how difficult is it to fit the double vanos crank?
does anyone do the machining thats required as me and my mate are both doing this so may be easier to get the machining done and the spacer made from the same place?

thanks alot for that will put up pics when i get mine done
i was worried about the spacer but seeing ed325i's pic it looks fairly straight forward.
do i use the rods of my old 325i or do i need m20 320i rods?

i know of another zoner from near me thats also would be interested in the spacer so dunno if we can get some knocked up on a group buy?
got any ideas on what sorta power it would bring in standard form?

i thought it was double vanos but if its not then makes it better for me as i can fit an entire m52 easier then a m54 as i dont wana much about with that fly by wire stuff

ive now bought the m54 2.8 and have been told it dont fit because of its vanos and fly by wire pedals (these parts have gone on the car) and all i can do is either mate the block to a m50 head or use the crank in my original m20?? will it mate to the m50 head? if not will the m54 crank go into my m2...

hi i have a mate with this diff and says i can have it but what i need to know is how to fit it and will it hold a 325's power the diffs is smaller then the 325's medium case diff but i have been told many times it will fit if i change the output flanges?? does anyone know anything about doing this?...

hi im thinking of getting a compact diff for my m50 touring but at the mo as i cant find a lsd I'm thinking of getting a compact diff but i need to know will it need any modifications like changing the output wheels or does it slot straight into a 325?

mines not a small lsd its the medium case that fits 325's and cost way more then a £100 mate

kinda feel abit silly now as i went to buy a z3 2.8 diff the other day and as i did what i thought was the right test i didnt buy and acused the guy of time wasting

so am i right in thing if you turn the input,both outputs turn in same direction then its a lsd?

whats a torsen diff as i went to see 1 the other day and as i turned the input shaft and held 1 of the outputs, the other output turned and this isnt possible on my standard e30 lsd
so is that torsen?

i know they fit just didnt think they were all lsd's thought some are open diffs?
