Re: Rose joint connectors?
Just a note for a road car, it can be worth fitting rubber boots over the rose joint purely to stop the inevitable build up of crap around the joint. The muck can cause corrosion which in-turn reduces life and effectiveness of the rose joint. I have gone through a few sets on my car, mainly they jus...

Re: Removing EWS..
LoL I take your point, I'm no auto spark, the response came from me because the fact is there is loads of info on t'interweb (which was laughed at) and looking for info with the comment about the plugs will get you to it. Fact is there folks all over who have bypassed the EWS without the need to pay...

Re: THE Estoril Alpina E38 B12 is in trouble!
cecotto, i understand all that, but surely by deciding not to bid at all, the O/O gave up all rights to the car. So why all the historonics now. It,s irelevant who owns it now, or what they paid for it. Holding back the cars history, or even theatening to bury it is just petty and spiteful. Yes, so...

Re: Removing EWS..
Connect the wires in pins 1 and 3 on the ews module, job done. EWS can be sorted by cutting a few wires, its pretty simple really. A search on google will yield a fair few results. http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a155/Danharborow/smilies/rofl.gif Of course, your clearly the font of all knowledge.....

Re: THE Estoril Alpina E38 B12 is in trouble!
I don't understand why the chap is crying, he took the payout from the insurance, didn't agree their price for buying it back and thought he would buy it back through an auction at a cheaper price leaving more money in his pocket. That is a risk, if he really wanted the car he should have bought it ...

Well, there certainly isn't many saloons with the is engine, they were in the coupes. The saloon was normally fitted with a lower bhp engine. The 318is (1.9) saloon was a run out edition that had vented disc brakes etc, I think they probably did have 150bhp. I think you have ppossibly been a bit qui...

Take the engine out of the e34 drop that in your cab and then source a bigger engine for the e34

Re: e36m3 3.0 or e36 328i sport
That's a pretty fair write up. I went from 328 to M3, I thought they were completely different, in fact it was only when I hadn't owned one that I thought they were similar. The M3's engine is completely different, power delivery is in a completely different style, the m52 is a lazy torquey engine, ...

Driven the E39 M5 but not an E36 M3. I can't remember the clutch on that - only the biggest smile....and the sound of the V8 of course.... One of life's little pleasures. ^^ Why on earth would you bother?
The 3.6 isn't any better than the 3.0 or the 3.2 really, well, its not worth the effort of messing about with the loom etc.

Could be a few things, the alternator could of had a paddy, the earth straps may be on their way out, or it could of just been struggling to rev because of some crap and nearly stalling.

For me its always been Black with cream leather and black plastics.
The one thing with a lot of the colour combination's is the fact that BMW fitted gray plastics, ruins the car imho.

Re: E36 Rocker Gasket
I would use a sealant, only on the curved parts of the cover though. The studs have a collar on them, in fairness they really shouldn't tighten down much, they hit the collar when tightening by hand and you just nip them up after that. I would be getting a new gasket and hoping for the best. Edit: I...
