Thanks, I'll look into itGet a zone chip from Ant @ A-Tech. You'll find his contact details in the FAO section I would imagine. The chip is about £65ish delivered to your door and they do make a world of difference to the 2.5. It's very quick and easy to fit too !!

Re: Bit of advice needed - Touring
I haven't actually. Which Chip would you recommend and where would i get one?If you have not done so already, I'd fully recommend getting her chipped. It would really help with mid range power and economy in an auto. It's a lot of gain for a little money...

I've got an Auto Touring and it's relaxing to drive, but thirsty. Could really do with a 5th gear for the motorway too.

the torx bolts are what hold the pan in place that contains the filter i seem to remember. Sorry, i can't remember how much oil i needed, i bought whatever amount was in the haynes manual (it's at home). I do remember having trouble trying to work out which oil to buy though. Re: Servicing...
The Auto Gearbox Oil is filled through the dipstick.
I changed mine for the first time last year, followed the Haynes Manual and it went ok, apart from breaking one of the Torx bolts.
I do seem to get covered in whatever fluid i'm changing though

Front Speaker Advice
I need to swap the front speakers in my touring. Can anyone recommend any coax speakers that will fit in the front? I don't want to spend a fortune and can't be bothered with components and tweeters etc, so i'm after just a straight swap into the original fittments. I did try a pair of Kenwood Dual ...

Re: DECENT BODYSHOP IN THE MIDLANDS
I've just had some bits done to my tourer by a guy called Tony at sprint auto-services in stirchley. His number is 01214595924. He replaced a wing and sorted out another bit of rust for me and did a good job. He did some work on my cab years ago and repaired my bonnet when that was dented, he did a ...

Re: Newbie here: size of E30 Touring boot?
A colleague of mine measured my boot a couple of weeks agi to see if he could fit a desk in it and he thinks he remembers the measurements being just short of 800mm between the arches and just short of 1600mm from the back of the seats to the back of the car with the seats folded down. I would go ou...

Re: Newbie here: size of E30 Touring boot?
I have bought a touring fairly recently, and the boot isn't huge compared to some estate cars, but you can still load it up with a lot of crap for the tip
I haven't tried, but i'm sure a mountain bike would go in the back ok.

Has anyone ever used one of those electric pollishing machines on their cars? Are they any good? I'm contemplating buying one from aldi this thursday, it runs on mains and is only a tenner. It spins at 3000rpm apprently which sounds fast? Just not sure if it's going to do more harm than good! I norm...

Re: 'tapping' engine
Someone has told me of a trick to block out this noise when you're driving, i haven't tried it yet, but I have been assured it works. Basically, you get a blob of blue-tack and stick it on the nut on the end of your steering column under your steering wheel centre cap. Apparently this gets rid of mo...

OK, have now checked with Sytner Coventry and they've said the same thing, although he did say he could supply me what they use at £24.64 for 3 litres.
Presumably all the dealers are going to be reading from the same computer system

Re: head lamp adjustment
Don't know if this helps, but i've got a similar problem with mine. my nearside headlamps are very loose and it looks like part of the assembly has broken. It's the white plastic part that the studs go into from the neumatic adjusters.
I haven't tried to take anything out yet though.

Hi, My 91 325i Tourer has a strange problem, can anyone help? A Friend walking up my drive pointed out that my ignition lights were on on my dashboard. I grabbed the keys and went to investigate. I turned the key a few times and it didn't make any difference. I started the car and the lights went ou...
