i have them in my 318i, there good, not too soft not too hard but firm, made big difference to handling of the car.
there good if you aint got much money but if i was to put suspension in again i would spend more

Throttle cable???
Anybody able to help me in changeing the t.cable. i know how to take it off the throtle body. but im having problems gettin it off the bulkhead. does it pop off, or is there a nut or sumthing. any help appreciated.

I want to bin my ABS '(89 325i) as its for girls and I am capable of braking properly :) You are NOT capable of braking properly when an unexpected emergency arises when the car is turning, and the wheels are loaded unevenly. set a multimeter up on the battery with the multimeter set to current. then go over to the fuse board and start pulling fuses. when the current drops thats the fuse thats causing problems, refer to manual for what the fuse does. then check if the components that are attached to that fuse are faulty,...

just read ur post, so basically they have sent me the wrong ones. the downside of finding this out now is, i just bought 2 original ones to get it through the nct(irish MOT) at a cost of 75 plus vat a pop. bummer

i measured the outside of the strut holder, which was 45.06 and 45.08 on the different ones. but its the inside diameter thats narrow. for the shocks to fit i need an INTERNAL diameter of 44mm. but with these strut holders for that to be possible the thickness of the metal tube on the strut holder w...

it could be but that would mean the ones i have are 325 shocks which mean there 43mm in diameter. is this the diameter of the shocks for the 325

well it seems 88 and 89 318i have 45mm strut holders, but the shocks FK make for these dont fit, there 4mm to wide, does anyone have any ideas as to what i shud do?

i havent got a pic, but i have another pair of struts and i measured the outside of them, because i didnt have time to split it, and it was 45mm. the shocks are 43.5mm

i nearly sure its belt driven, the 318is with the m42 engine r chain i think. as for the mileage it aint to much, seen e30's with 200k on them

hey everyone, i bought a set of FK shocks and springs for my car, i got the 45mm strut, as i thought this was the right diameter.
but for sum reason my car need 39-40mm struts, or close enough to 40mm.
has anyone ever heard of this before, and cud i buy 45mm strut holders from BMW.
