Don't discount the M3 Evo. The 3.2's vanos so called issues aren't something that would put me off.

Dips - you need to get yours sorted. That car really is special

Easy peesy; four bolts as per the e30.

just be aware that if you have the electronic pre-tensioners ('97 onwards) and / or passengers side airbag becareful & disconnect battery first, otherwise you risk getting an error trigger and the airbag light lit.

I have a 320 with a blown head gasket and have been given a good 320 head as a stop gap between finding a 325 or 525e lump.

Dips has got an e21 with quad exhaust....they exit out of the sides of the rear bumper!

What model E36 is it? Generally the earlier e36 are chip changes, whilst the later models require a remap.

Zone chips are well recommended and I know of a good remapper.

I asked a similar question a few days back and was told by Spadge that the early E34 is the same fitment, but the later e34 is not...
