Re: Toyota 1JZ Engine Swap
Just thought I'd give this topic a kick to say that if anyone is thinking about ordering a kit from K-conversions, give my topic on Driftworks a quick read. I was suckered in by his seemingly good reputation when he used to tune engines here in the UK, his 100% feedback on his ebay accounts and how ...

Re: Coolant light
The coolant bottle is over on the drivers side of the car (pre-facelift), and as far as I'm aware this is the original engine. It never used to come on, but one day after driving home from the garage it came on. After that it was very tempramental, it used to come on on the drive to a track day but ...

Coolant light
The coolant light is on permanently in my car (1987 325). I've checked the header tank sensor, but theres no wire plugged into it! I've searched high and low but can't find the wire to plug into the sensor - so is the coolant light coming on for any reason (i.e. is there a problem!?), or is it purel...

Re: How to tell if LSD is worn?
Cheers guys, you've kind of confirmed what I thought, think I'm probably going to leave it on the car - will try and do the number 11 test later!
Heres a video of it in action, you can see the inside wheel spinning up, bit its not spinning completely:

How to tell if LSD is worn?
I advertised an LSD for sale as worn, but I've chatted to a few people and now I'm questioning whether or not it is. The previous owner bought the LSD off a zone member, I chatted to him today and he said it was in great condition, and I'm sure I've not used it enough to have worn it out already. Ba...

Re: My first drift competition...
MJG's matt black E28 is possibly the rudest car I've ever seen, he'd shoved an M30 335 in there too - it looked and sounded absolutely evil. I think its dead now, he was going to reshell it but I think hes having finance/driving license issues, which is a real shame because what I've seen of him dri...

Re: My first drift competition...
Cheers for all the kind words guys, I've just seen a video of me in my final runs, and the car looks glacial compared to everyone else, and is understeering half the time and spinning up its inside wheel while I was "drifting". I really had to fight the car, I think it was a combination of my stinky...

Re: My first drift competition...
Very sexy, is it matt blacked? Are you competing this year too? After that, I'm hooked, but I can't afford to do the Norfolk/Chepstow rounds, can only really do the Teeside ones (its a nightmare being in Scotland!). The Jap thing is a bit ridiculous to be honest, out of about 40-50 cars, 3 were non ...

My first drift competition...
Entered my first ever motorsport event on Saturday, in the amateur class of the Eurodrift championship at Teeside. I finished 7th out of 15, and considering I was the only non jap, non turbo car in my class (next slowest car was a 220 brake Cefiro with a 2 way diff!), I don't think I did too badly, ...

Is it a big black alfa 3.0? or a big ol' chrome 7 series that i see in the vid along with your lovely e30? I do have to say i've watched a few of those before, and i love it. Personally i think the guy in the cossie just ruins it with the excessive "winding" . Mind you i suppose you just get addict...

I have an E30 that I use for drifting, I had it out on Sunday and I think the LSD could be dying from the way it behaves (understeer, slide dying before I expect/want it to) and looking at the video (a fair bit more smoke from the inside wheel). I'm competing in it this weekend, but after that I'm t...

Coolant light and PAS
Drove the car home from having all its new shiny bits put on the other day, and the coolant light came on on the check panel. However the temperature wasn't affected at all, and when I got it home to check, the coolant level is fine. However, on closer inspection I noticed there was nothing plugged ...

MiM 1900s 15x7" ET25
Been offered a set of these to part exchange for my MiM 2900s (which I couldn't get to fit up front). Just wondering, do the 1900s need any spacers and/or modifcations (grinding TRE/caliper) to fit on a 325?

Z3M diff bush URGENT!
On the Zone's advice, I bought a Z3M diff bush to replace the standard one, I've just had a call from the mechanic who is fitting it expressing concerns about how it is slightly oval shaped and the hole is off centre, he says that it'll be a struggle fit it, and if he does get it on hes worried it w...

Idling issues
I've always had a few idling issues with the car, it seemed to be quite tempramental - high idle of about 1k to begin with, then up to 1200-1300 once warm, and sometimes doing that thing where it revs up and down between 800 and 1300 rpm. Anyway, tonight I installed a BBTB and while I was at it, che...

Right then, going to get some new suspension components to put on my track/drift car, as one of the front shocks has gone, I've got H&R ARBs on order and I can't seem to find any record of any of the bushes being replaced, so seems like a good idea to get it all done in a one-er. Was told by the guy who sold me it that it weighed approximately 980 kgs when it was on the weighbridge, but I have no idea whether thats right or not. Bump, anyone got any thoughts on my question? Will 15x7j ET25 wheels be pushed too far into the arches with 15mm spacers? (am I right in thinking that'll make the offset ET10?)
I'm very confused!
