Re:

The SA 318i also had the M44 engine and those were the ones that the dealer brought into the UK and got into trouble over. They had the SE spec and not the M.Tech bits that the UK iS had.

They were a special only on offer in the UK between Feb 1998 and June 1998 although a few have been exported to other countries There were only 1050 still registered in the UK about ...

Re: Longlife stainless steel exhausts - any good?

Had a cat back system done on my E36 in march 2006 at their Leeds depot. Got a Citroen AX as courtesy car for the day( better than nothing). Sounds great , never had any trouble with it and it still looks good. http://s114.photobucket.com/albums/n256/steve_seed/?action=view¤t=roadmap007.flv ht...

Best way is to have both :D My E36 is fantastic. Had it 7 years now. Its a 1998 318iS saloon. They only made 1056 of them, it has the M Tech bits but the engine is the 1.9 twin OHC 140 bhp 16 valver. I've put a pipercross filter on it, A custom made S/Steel performance exhaust system and had it rema...

Hi Steve, Re the Tatton Park event, I found it compact and un entertaining due to the small layout :? I've had some good years there in the past and this was by far the worst, I turned up at 10 and was gone by 10.30, maybe I should of given it bit more time but I bailed out with many others :? Cheers.
The bonnet and boot had to be resprayed due to marks made by some sort of chemical which would not polish out and the drivers side rear panel had some paint damage which required spraying but apart from that its original.

Its all about personal taste and freedom of choice. Original or modified at least we have the choice. Just remember if Hitler had won the war we would all have to drive VW Beetles ( god help us). I keep mine totally original but I still like to see a nice tidy modified E30. Anyway just remember all ...

Hi folks,
I'm looking for a top notch body shop to get some spraying done. I'm in the Altrincham area south of manchester. Anyone got any good recommends. Last guy I used was crap. Luckily it was only on my E36 but now its for the E30 so must be really good.

Yes I have some grey BMW mats for it and I will be keeping it as a 316. I want to keep it original. The sport interior was an option...

E30 restoration stage 1 completed.

Towards the end of last year I bought a little white 316i lux as a restoration project, the first stage is now complete.
