Re:
The car looks a stunner. Beautiful, unadulterated classic copy of how an E30 convertible should look. I like the numberplate too. It should always be dry, then we can always drive our cars with the hoods down. Yours has the same lovely lip spoiler as mine. Much nicer than the standard one. It just h...

I don't want to go on the Hartge Register, because the only thing I have got is Hartge 16" wheels, which personally I don't think makes the car a Hartge. A Hartge to me, imho, is one that has had the engine remodified by Hartge, has Hartge reengineering, Hartge wheels, Hartge bodystyling etc. There ...

E30 Convertible Register
As no one has started a register for the convertible, I thought I would start it. It doesn't matter what model, as long as it is a convertible. Suggestions are to put your usual stuff, eg, model, engine, modifications, bodyworks etc As I say it doesn't matter what model it is. It can be the lowest e...

Car looks lovely. I wouldn't get a rear spoiler. It spoils the back of the convertible. It looks okay on a Sports, but it destroys the line of the rear. I think that most convertible owners would agree. A lot of convertible owners don't even have rear headrests simply because it interferes with how ...

Re: "325i" badge
I removed my badge off my car after it had been on it for 8 years and didn't have any problems with paint discolouration or anything. I did however, use a professional cutting agent and then gave it a good polish afterwards.

Alloy Refurbishers
Anyone know of any good alloy wheel refurbishers. I know of Lepsoms and have used them before, but want to find out if there are any others.
Looking at around the London area preferably, but will go further if the job is of high quality and also the price too.

For a picture of summer in England, you can't get any better than the Wimbledon picture. Pure class. This is the only time when we actually get a glance of a day or so of sunshine. Well done Aled. I just think it is brilliant compared to the rest.

Old_skool, thanks very much for your advise. I've just left a message in the genuine BMW Parts Section, so hopefully he'll see it when he returns back from Scumball. Rear Suspension Struts for my 1990 325i auto convertible
Can someone please advise me as to what rear suspension struts my 1990 325i auto convertible will need. I'd like to find out what originally would have been used and what you suggest as a good alternative.
Many thanks.

I'd wait until the so-called English summer has gone. It won't be too long now. A couple of months won't make much difference for you to wait. Why waste not having a soft top for a couple of months.

I love M-Tech I bodykits more than M-Tech II, mainly because they look so much better and not so plasticy - this is my opinion. I think that they look old skool style. The M-Tech II doesn't define the car enough. It all blends into one and another. I so much like the classic style of the M-Tech I an...

I agree with March, that's if it really needs a full respray. It didn't look like it needed a full respray. Can't you do just where the arches need doing.

Anyone know of a good car detailer in the West London area?
I'm not able to give my car the full attention that it needs and was wondering if there was any professional detailers around that could detail my car.
I want a good job done, so I don't want to go somewhere where they don't know anything about doing a good job.

I've driven a couple of LHD and I don't have a problem with them at all. To overtake I would steer my car close to the left hand side kerb as most drivers seem to drive in the middle of the lane. You can easily see if there are any cars coming towards you. If there weren't any cars in the distant fu...

I think that there should be a broad spectrum of E30s. I have always expressed that there shouldn't be any modelisms. I think that each model should be displayed from the 316 up to the M3, including convertibles and tourers too. Just because a car has been given a bigger engine does not mean that it...
