i had quite a lot of these faults your describing on my old 320 auto, and i put an ecu on it in the end, and it ran fine and still is! im not saying this is the fault with yours but if you had one readily avaliable might be worth a try

you can either use the tool, or a short peice of wire in the diag plug, cant remember the pins, but there is a lot of threds on this try a search mate

purley because i hadnt seen the thread! granted not everyone knows everything, i just found it odd a mechanic didnt know where spark plugs were, no need to take offence

very unlikely to have damaged something, im sure its 4.5 they take anyway! its an m20 it will leak out anyway, but if tou have payed the man to do a job, take it back

If you insert a cocktail stick into the bootlock, angle it at about 30 degrees upwards the tip will locate in a small hole, lift the stick vertical and then push the key past it, turn the key slightly to the right and then left very quickly, this usually works. In your dreams boy, 1 post on a forum...

its not ment to be pressed, if the windows have a childs head in them or simular it wil trip and that button will need to be pressed to get them working again.

mine passed all though i do know the tester, but as long as the beam is within the limits i cant see them being a problem, if your worried put your old bulbs in for the mot

roughly 12v or so with it of, and running about 13-13.5v depending on how good your altenator is!

its an aftermarket alarm so nothing special!
hopefully when i get hold of the relay that will cure it!
just seems strange that dissconnecting the battery it started up again fine! thats what made me think an ecu fault
