I ran solid ally mounts on my 325,worked fine,only a tiny bit of extra vibration,mostly on start up. Wouldnt fancy them on a four pot

He made it back though! Cheers for the run in your IS that supercharger makes it the perfect package,bloody fast too. I was well impressed with the engine bay.

True,I nearly didnt as I didnt want another e30,but the lure of the tech 2 and leather was too much to resist!

Its just been driven away by a fellow zoner,I am rather sad to see it go but needs must!

Well.... I am on my 4th but its sold and is being taken next week.I am moving on to a porsche 944 however I will return to E30's as soon as I can afford an M3
E30's are great cars and if I didnt have a van and a family car I would deffo run one as a daily driver.

2k paint is generally direct gloss,i.e it goes on shiny,any standard basecoats will go on matt,in which case they will need lacquer,you can get gloss back in tins though,which is probably what bmw are selling you. You will use loads of it though to paint a full kit!

229,180!!!!! Runs perfect and has done a racelogic verified 7.2 0-60 recently! It has been a genuine daily driver all its life,I find it very hard to belive that most e30's aren't at this sort of mileage,I suspect there are a lot of lies told when it comes to selling them on............. You can usually unthread the harnesses from the buckle that goes to the eyelet and make them work on a bar. What are these sparco bars??????

I think that harness bar setup will be fine,although not as good as one built in to the cage the position its in will be more than strong enough in a decent crash,dont forget the rear of the cage is resting on the inner arch! not the strongest part of an E30,any rot around there and the cage will go...

An agricultural method would be a pice of angle iron bolted through the bulkhead with the quickener bolted to that,although in reality I would machine something nice!

There is a gearing system available,a steering quickener as it is imaginatively named! Mainly used in america for the hotrod scenes,although they are suppliers to the NASCAR series and the UK version ASCAR. A porter cable would be a good bet if you fancy doing it yourself.(I take it the meguairs G220 is their rip off of the PC?).
