Re: Price please: Brake hardlines
Hi Paul, The car came with drums on the rear, I have just bought some rear suspension arms with discs, but they came without the brake hardlines [item 16 on image below]. So I dont think the chassis number will help? http://repairguide.autozone.com/znetrgs/repair_guide_content/en_us/images/0900c152/...

Electric Water Pump
I'm looking for a fairly specific electric water pump, I have tried calling the local BMW branch, who have told me the pump is on back order from Germany.
Are you able to get me a couple of these pumps fairly quickly (ideally by the end of the week)
BMW part number 11517604027
Thanks

Re: Replacement Rear Panel
Just called Northampton BMW and they quoted £220 + VAT, for all rear panels (316/318/320 & 325). I dont suppose you have got a part number of the panel you got or any other info.
I will call Cotswold BWM now see if they are any different.

Face lift rear panel
Hi, could I have a price on a facelift rear panel. Its for a 325i sport, but would be fine with the 320 rear panel if its cheaper.
Cheers

Replacement Rear Panel
Afternoon,
Any one know where I can get a 'new' replacement rear panel.
BMW want +£300 +VAT +shipping from Germany
I have tried calling most of the pattern panel companies google returned, but they all say they can get any.
Cheers for your help in advance

Re: Removing the crank bolt from a stripped engine
I have found a video which makes it look easy with two people..... Alas I have no one else to hold the engine stand down (and my rattle gun only makes a lot of noise and does not undo the bolt)

Removing the crank bolt from a stripped engine
Engine is stripped down, out of the car, everything removed apart from the crank. How can I undo the 320LB torqued bolt from the front of the crank? I have wedged a crow bar inbetween two of the crank counter weights, and tried using a pretty long breaker bar on the bolt in the end, but this results...

Electrical something next to LH headlights
Just inside the NS front wing, there is a resistors / capacitors looking thing mounted vertically next to the NS smiley.
It has wires going into it, well mine used to have wires going into it.
What is it?
I will try and upload an image soon.
Thanks in advance
George

Spring rates?
Any one know the standard spring rates of the different models of E30.
I have tried searching google, and on here and cant find the rates any where.
(I'm most interested in the coupé's rates)
Many thanks
George

Re: What are peoples thoughs of these
the spacer allows the rack to retract further into the rack housing allowing more movement. re-tracking the car will shorten the track rods to compensate for the increased length, meaning total length of the steering assembly sill be the same.

Re: What are peoples thoughs of these
I wouldnt have thought it was a great idea, as it allows the steering rack to travel further into the rack housing. this might mean that the pinion would reach the end of the teeth on the rack (as it is only has a certain length of teeth)

Re:
The cars is close to standard, and is for road use. I have only used it at the track once. I have been experiencing the fuel surge on the road but typically below 1/4 of a tank. Cheers for all your input guys, I will look at getting a new pick up fuel pump first and see if that resolves the problem....

Swirl pots
Hey guys, was at silverstone yesterday, and suffered huge amount of power loss going through right hand bends (with 3/4 full tank), was recommended looking into swirl pots to fix the fuel surge issue. Any idea on costs, which makes to go for? Complete novice bit now. Where do i put it :? many thanks...
