HI All, My neighbour has an e30 cab, after trying to jumpstart it the abs light came on, he fitted a new batt light sayed on. What might cause this & how do i cure it?

It's either a coincidence, or he has the early ABS system with a voltage protection relay (?) mounted near the ABS ECU. This relay is easily damaged by attempts at jump starting or similar. Hi all. My neighbours e30 cab's battery died at the golf club. A new one was duly fitted and now the ABS warning light stays on. Does anyone know how to sort the problem out short of pulling the bulb.
