325tds engine in an e30?
hi guys, does anybody know anything about this conversion? has it ever been done and is it even possible/ worth it. base car is a pre facelift 325i. thanks in advance.

hi this is usually a pain but if you use glue or any type of solvent dont touch anything inside the cluster cos fingerprints turn to white and are very hard to remove, good luck.

i once filled the flywheel inspection hole on a mk2 golf gearbox with 2 litres of gearbox oil...that then went all over the floor and made me swear, the clutch slipped for weeks

if i was ever beaten in a race by a french piece of cr*p i would probably either get out and torch my car in the street or crash and pretend my propshaft has snapped from all the torque, so far i have not had to do this...

i had this problem, get a jack handle and a hammer, lower the glovebox right down and put the end of the jackhandle against the metal valve, turn heaters to hot and full and, starting gently hit the other end of the handle with a hammer, hit a bit harder but dont risk breaking it!! if the valve is b...

thaks matt, weve done a bit of investigation tonight, the smoke is grey and not blue, indicating its probably not oil (i think). brian, i hold my hands up! while the car has been loosing so much coolant i have topped it up with water so many times that there is probably no antifreeze in it at all apologies for the pics, but dad has lost the digital camera so its samsung power only im afraid, a faulty injector is a possibility...

dude you have to repair it... think about how it will feel if you let your pride and joy be broken and crushed for the sake af a few hundred quid, if necessary get down the scrapy and cut the roof off an old crappy e30. then you can look and see if it is possible and get a bit of practice if needs b...

ill be a guinea pig if you like, i put a dent in my wing the other day, very stupidly slipped off a 4ft pry bar whilst undoing my ball joint and chinned my wing, still hurts now
. i will try it at the weekend or sooner if i can and get back to you all with before and after pics

bad(ish) news im afraid. i got the reg today and rang bmw dealership to inquire about it, they did a check and confirmed that its a 535i, wether its an M535i or not i havent a clue, i just know its not an m5 :cry: . so what sort of money do these make, i assume they are getting quite thin on the gro...
