Wow, not see that happen before! 8O S54's are brutal though! Did you get away without any damage from the sheared teeth? Hopefully I've got away with it. I carefully flushed all the bits of metal out of the diff and LSD, also cleaned all the bearings. Its up and running and still nice and quiet so ...

From what i've heard an old rally trick for a mechanical handbrake was:

A hole in the transmission tunnel and a long screwdriver poked through into the prop UJ.

Pretty crude, not sure if mr MOT man would still like it.

I was thinking about this 9.7 to 9.4 to 8.8 difference.

Could the 9.4 engines just be a 9.7 with the 0.3mm thicker head gasket? My calcs say it would be about right?

You can't get CV's from GKN Motorsport to mount onto the BMW Driveshaft. BMW used a different spline count (23) to those available. I had to go for new shafts with GKN 25 spline CV's which wasn't the cheapest option, but they won't break now. Bear in mind this was E21 based so the same inner/outer C...

you can see the torque loss in midrange by looking at the magnitude and shape, the standard B25 makes 170lbft. you lose the bump in torque that the standard one delivers from about 3500rpm upwards. if the kit used 35-38mm it would be alot better I couldn't be bothere to point that out, talk about o...

~3600Cena for M3 wings became about £160 Sterling delivered. They accept Euro's and its best to email them.
