rides ok for cash. slightly stiffer but not quite low enough for my liking though. had spax or koni's on my other motors so i expected too much. allround verdict is a damn good contender for Ԛ£49 + 2 hrs work

im new to e30's but im not so new to engine building. can anyone tell me how the hell a piston can move freely up and down a bore or liner if its made size and size? thaught not! if someting is made size n size then it is a press fit is it not?

yeah a fiver. cars pinkin a bit though n kangarooing. so it'll clear? any one had first hand experiance with this mistake?

tappets are adjustable. remove rocker cover n each one can be adjusted by loosening the 10mm nut on the side of each rocker, then turn the tip(has a tiny cam like contact point in the ends of rockers) with a small thin tool, i've seen it done with 3mm allen key that you put in a hole an the tip, the...

cheers for that. so its bushes n ball joints then. il probaby enquire bout gen ball joints. genuine bushes or polyurethane ones like powerflex??? can make my own brake lines as im a mechanic (big embarasment if it fails on bulb or a wiper blade lol) so its nothing to major. thanx again

m.o.t due. what to look for?
iv'e just recently baught my first e30 and its due its test next week. being a fast ford enthusiast and new to bmw's i would apreciate any points to look out for on the e30 which are common test fails.
