Re: High beam lens clouding...............

Not sure why it seems to affect the high beams more but what I did was remove the lamps, take the back off and pour in some methylated spirits and slosh it around. Tip out any excess and wait the rest to evaporate before fitting them back to the car, nice and shiny, good as new.

mmmmm who fixed this and what with? daimlerman=MAF liam012=FPR 320ise=MAF who else? nice to get an idea of who got it sorted and by whgat means... Mine initially was cured by replacing the FPR, although the problem returned with a vengeance after a few weeks of smoooooth motoring. The car then deci...

Hmmm, is this the touring that was behind me on Hook Road Saturday afternoon? Bonnet certainly looked a bit suspect in my mirror.

SOLVED AT LONG LAST!!! At least it is on my car anyway. I replaced the FPR a few months back with a brand new part from GSF. Out of curiosity thought I'd swap it over with the original 19 year old BMW part this morning and hey presto, been for a long drive and NO JUDDERING!! Been said a million time...

Re:

Hmmm, I'll certainly be checking out my AFM tomorrow but it might just be relevant that my cars juddering only started after it'd been off the road for a couple of weeks due to it not being able to start. This was eventually traced back to a knackered immobiliser but in the search for a remedy I rep...

Re: 150mph on the autobahn!

I doubt my trusty old 318i has much top end go left in her, the bike is a different matter though!! Had my 750 showing and indicated 175mph which was scary as fook, eyeballs start vibrating at that sort of speed making it rather difficult to see, then traded the 750cc in for 1000cc which I had up to...

Re: cheapest coilovers?

I had a set of AVO coilovers on one of my Golfs, seals went on all 4 shocks and the bodies were rusted to fook, sent them back under warranty to be rebuilt, waited 6 weeks for them, all 4 were FUBAR again within a week of being back on the car. Demanded a refund and paid the extra to get Koni coilov...

Same happened to me, there's a tab on the end of the locking barrel that had snapped off so when you turn the key it's not actuating the central locking.

Re: Juddering when accelerator slightly in use....

My 318i M40 is also juddering like mad, 2000 rpm, any gear though, not just 1st. Clutch seems fine, pretty much eliminated any engine-related probs, attention now shifting towards the propshaft bearing. If it's not that then I'm well and truly baffled. Strange how there seems to be quite a few cars ...

Juddering at 2k RPM amyone??

Help please!! Car is a 318i M40, if you hold the revs at a steady 2000rpm the cars starts juddering like a mong, as soon as you put your foot down it's fine. Anyone got any ideas? I've replaced a few parts recently, DME relay and fuel pump relay, CPS sensor and I've only had the problem since doing ...

Where are good places to check for air leaks? You will probably get your original number back, as long as the DVLA haven't deleted it. You can apply to keep your current plate on a retention certificate at a cost of 25 quid a year I think, just don't forget to renew it or you lose the plate!! I think the transfer fee is 80 quid but that may hav...

Not an E30 obviously but the angle gives you a good idea of the serious dish-age of the rims. These are 7x15 with 45 profile rubber on them. 90mm suspension drop adds to the effect, too, bit of a struggle when you have to drive over things such as twigs though. http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y177/...
