Re: cabby roof adjustnents

You can adjust the way the roof sits above the windscreen with shims where it is bolted to the car (Below the horseshoe), the originals are square shaped with the corners cut off (the ones on mine have holes and some are c-shaped about 1-2mm thick). However you could use anything similar like washers

I also have a cab, there is a guy on ebay sells boge/sachs springs £69 + p&p. These will drop 20mm [4cyl] or 25mm [6cyl] (A cabby sits lower anyway because of the extra weight) and will NOT effect suspension dynamics but gives a much firmer ride. These are the same springs a main dealer would supp...

Hmmm I was going to come to Southport but that Tatton Park event sounds good. Really we should support the NW meet but it is obvious that location has put some people off. :?

Recaro Seats

Is anybody in the know about these seats, I'm a bit of a shortie, so I have the seat raised but every time I get into my car, the drivers seat slumps back down.

If I stay in the seat and raise it, it's ok......unless the lead foot hits the pedal :)

Is it a simple fix or is it a seat out job

Is it noisy, tappety, if so I would say it's a worn cam shaft. Which would cause the valves not to open properly
