i wouldnt even have bothered telling them before, my old e30 was registered and insured as a standard 320i and it was a 2.5 turbo. 320 and 325 engines are both m20's which means they look pretty much identical

safety devices header bar Q?

basically i have a safety devices full cage, missing the header bar above the windscreen, i have the cage that the main hoop bolts straight to the floor, is the header bar straight or kinked at either end, cus i know the later cages with the platforms on the bottom of the main hoop have kinked bars?

yeah this is true, a turbo meet would be good, cus when i went to the pod for ultimate bmw, i seen 1 turbo e30 and that was it, i was proper disapointed, everyone talks about them but i never see any of them around!!!!

well adding it up mine will have cost me about £5000, with a few great bargins ive picked up and thats prob gonna be a 450hp + build

1984 324td forged crank for e30 turbo??

basically i have been offered a brand new 324td crank and the guy is saying that in the m20 with this crank and 130mm rods it will stroke it to a 2.8, is this right? and would this crank be good to use for a high power FI car??

if its not the plug or the wire it will be something wrong with the clocks or the pulse generator(the thing on the back of the diff which the speedo wires connect too

yeah i agree, once the ms is set up well there is excellent gains over the motronic system, and even with the 440cc injectors im running i still get reasonably good fuel economy, and the benefits with ms that you can learn so much about the system and management and mapping in general beacuse you ha...

i got done by the police over it before on my old e30, they pulled out the vehicle defect form, and were there for a bout 10 mins finding everything wrong with the car, but it was still insured as a standard 2ltr and they didnt realise it was a turbo even though they looked under the bonnet, idiots

i havent done a poly diff bush yet but the lolly pop bush, i hacked the standard rubber out of the center first then cut some slices into tthe metal outer part of the standard bush with a hack saw then just banged the rest of the bush out with a hammer and screwdriver, and to get back in i used a ha...

true rust is a killer, the only way is to cut it out completely and with a lot of old cars there is much hidden rust so by the time u have cut it all out there mite not be much car left

ms is an excellent system for the bmw, i have had it on both my e30s on N/A and also turbo'd, and cant speak highly enough of it, first one me and my mate fitted, bit fidly but not as bad as u would expect, and on my current e30 the ms was on it when i bought it, it was fitted by a guy in kent calle...

well i had the beam on my old e30 and seemed to be alrite, stiffened up the back, i find the back end to be a bit skitish on standard bushes, so i prefered the polys, but i suppose everyone has there own opinions on different products, otherwise everyones cars would be pretty much the same, i wanna ...

well ive got the gm coil park on there, and as i can recall i think its quite a good dwell timing and ballast for a good spark, so bit of a hit or miss one possibly, 500hp sean thats sounding pretty fierce, i hope to have a race with u at usc then, well im in the middle of making up a sweedish plenu...

i prop wouldnt be look towards stroking it to a 3.1, it would prob be a better plan to lighten and balence the bottom end, with lite flywheel and low ratio box, and a bit of advance on the timing to have the power a little lower and a rev happy engine, what u really want for rallying, but thats just...

well i dont have mtech bumpers but it should be the same as facelift mountings, plastic runners at the side and two hench bolts under the caps at the back that bolt upwards, basically give the bumper a tug, if it feels solid dont worry about it

either undo the bolts at the bottom, or jamm your fingers in the left side of the glove box and slide them along to the center as much as possible and try and open then, thats what i had to do in my old shed

well since i have the spare beam with the polys on it, i was gonna paint it while it was off, but ill save the beam thats on it anyway, if it does become an issue, i just wanna stiffen everything up really
