Yeh, i figured it wasn't great news, it was about a mile with the oil light coming on and off, she hasn't been driven since! what's the easiest way to check whether there's any blockages and that the pumps working ok?

Hi Guys, I've got a '91 325 tourer that blew it's head, so spent a lovely weekend stripping and replacing the head gasket, along the way realising i'm incredibly lucky, the cam belt was cracked already and broke whilst taking it off! shocking! :-s Anyways, new water pump, filters, all replaced, gave...

I had a similar problem on my first touring went through all the suggestions up here, turned out to be some lovely guy had cut one of the rear springs, obviously figured it was a bad idea and just left it, nice or what!!

Hope you don't mind me piggy backing on your thread, but i've got a 325 tourer that is tapping like mad! is it easy to adjust the tappets, and or is it worth it? what damage are they doing etc.

cheers for all the info, soon as i shake this stupid flu bug that has kept me in bed instead of getting oily i'm hopefull of it being fixed!
As for wheels, i'm not really sure, thinking of 17's but it all goes on how they look on the car!!

Tourer rear seats
Hey guys, Firstly thanks to Steveic for my new tourer, enjoying the E30 drive again, it's been too long! :) the only thing is i can't seem to get the rear seats to lock upright, there's the lever that goes under the bottom of the seats but doesn't seem to effect the locking of it, i'm sure it should...

right, as suggested i decided to do my cambelt whilst i was doing my head, put it all back together, and it was a nightmare to start, now she wont run for more than a second at a time and it knocks really badly, so am worried i may damage it by doing anymore, does this sound like i've completely coc...

ok, well i've decided to do this properly, it's booked in to get skimmed, tested and tappets replaced, i've ordered another head gasket, and with any luck, i'll have it runnning after the weekend! anything else i should be doing?

it comes out the expansion tank, with or without the cap on! i've looked over whilst warm and can't see any leaks!

right, done that, and there were no bubbles! which i'm not sure is a good thing or not! there a bubbles in the expansion tank every now and again, but not related to when i was putting compressed air into the spark holes, unless there is some nifty trick to it! any other ideas? i'm all out i'm afraid!

hi,
no idea how to get it off, don't want to ruin the whole lot, but it's so frustrating!
I've undone the allen headed bolts, and it's proper stuck on....just undo the allen headed bolts and the fan falls off the coupling
