If you could post some pics up would help - it will depend how deep the scratches are as to whether you can polish them out yourself or whether the bodyshop is the only way.

ATS - What size? Are you sure? No we have none. Kwik Fit - Nope Various other local outlets - Could get you some ordered (budget crap that is) All rather frustrating. Ideally want Uniroyal or Michelin premium stuff. Fat chance! Yeah, I had the same problem a couple of years ago when I was after Mic...

MPG = US Gallon
m/g = Imperial gallon
I think there is about 20% difference between the two IIRC

Re: 63L tank with M3 clocks..
I recently swapped my 325i clocks for M3 ones and filled up and tested the petrol gauge...fell to zero twice as quick (as expected after researching on here)
So I swapped the petrol gauge from the 325i cluster, but retained the red needle and face. Now works fine. HTH

OBC display
My OBC display seems to "pulse" - makes no difference whether lights on or off/all other dials work fine.
Is it my eyes?
Anybody throw any (more) light on this? (pun intended)

I fitted Volts and oil pressure gauges in an ashtray-replacing pod...but wasn't happy with them there. So, I moved them and put back the ashtray, much better (for me anyway) http://img855.imageshack.us/img855/121/m3gauges002.jpg Anyway, one or two of you said Oil Temp would be the most useful, so fi...

It is worth soldering the 2 joints that hold the resistor in place for the brake warning light - I did mine yesterday after a cluster swap, the old and the replacement were both fooked  ...And now working spot on. Do a quick search for the location of the dry joints - they are over by the temp...

Re: will a chip noticeably improve a 325i switchable auto?
I've had a speedtouch mild chip in my auto sport last year or so. Will make a difference, and adds a couple of MPG too. Definitely worth approx. £30, will pay for itself very quickly. As for the old Auto v manual debate, had mine now 4 years, love it to bits, just like driving a pint of Guinness :be...

Re: NO oil pressure light on dash
Ground the wire to the pressure switch and see if the light comes on. If it doesnt, either the wire is broken somewhere along its length or the bulb is faulty. Before you remove the dash cluster, undo C101 and ground pin#5. If the light now comes on, you have a break in the wire from the pressure s...

NO oil pressure light on dash ###UPDATE###
I posted up last weekend my pics of my gauge install...Noticed today that the oil pressure light on the dash is non-existant. Doesn't come on with ignition, so can't go out when car started. All the other lights work OK. The new oil pressure VDO gauge works fine. I have used the search button, maybe...

VDO gauges and other stuff fitted
Finally got round to fitting my VDO gauges. Fairly straight forward, but you need to eat lots of carrots before trying to thread wires through the bulkhead (or my eyes are getting worse). The biggest pain was the oil switch - what a p1sser! tight as a Jew in a Banking crisis. Anyway, all sorted, oil...
