Misfire in heavy rain 325i

I have recently had my clutch and flywheel replaced (finally that judder is gone! 8) ). Since the repair my E30 started to misfire in heavy rain. It only happens when I drive through heavy spray (for example driving behind a truck). When it happens, there is no power and the rev counter drops and ju...

Re: Hesitant at about 3k to 4k revs. Thinking caps time

I had the exact same problems with my 325 convertible. It turned out to be the lead to cylinder 5, which was totally busted at the sparkplug-connector. I went to a BMW specialist, who found the problem by using the original diagnosis equipment (a huge enclosure with CRT screens  ). It measured...

Yep, worked fine for me too... Putting it back in wasn't so hard either, especially since I had an extra pair of hands helping me (doing it alone will be more difficult I think...)

Re: How to remove a Cabrio door window - Anyone know?

@Z3I, did you succeed? Which method did you use?

@Chris-W, do you mean the slider in the middle of this picture will slip out of the rail attached to the window?

I need to get the window out too, to replace the window guide rail in the rear of the door :(

Ok, here's the pic from the E30 options brochure, guys :)

What I meant was that the 316(i) was the only E30 that didn't come with a rev counter as standard (at least not here in Holland). Obviously you could order the rev counter as an option.

There are 4 different dials:

- Big clock (only in the 316)
- Rev counter with economy gauge (318 to 325)
- Rev counter with oil temp (M3)
- Rev counter *without* economy gauge 8O (I think this was an option for the 316!! I can post a pic later)

Thanks guys!

I got the bumperstrips from Ebay.de, they are the original ones as used in the US. The lights are not 'recessed' though as on the E34, they lie on top of the strips, but it looks really neat and 'OEM' anyway!

Here a close-up pic:

How to remove tweeters from tweeter pods

What's the best/easyest way to remove the original tweeters from the tweeter pods (mirror triangles)? I would like to replace them with my JBL tweeters but the original ones are glued into the pods.

To change the dial bulbs you need to completely remove the instrument cluster from the dash and you can pop them out from the back side (3 Watt max!!).

From there you can open the cluster and get to the dials

I kind of already decided to have powersteering retrofitted in my 316. It is the only thing I really miss in the comparison with more 'modern' cars. It just drives so much more 'relaxed'... what are these... http://img171.exs.cx/img171/2011/941b2ax.jpg 15" wheels originally from the E21 3-series... Compo speakers are a lot better than 'coaxial' speakers. They have a separate tweeter, so you can place it better (directed to your ears rather than your legs or smth). Compo speakers also have an external filter so they separate the sound better between tweeter and woofer. So all in all compo speak...
