Re:

i would leave the rad out until you have the engine fitted in, espically one as masssive as an m30. its too dangerous to try putting the lump in with it there as 1 slip an inch in the wrong direction and its through your rad. like a wrecking ball man trying to knock the dwelling and keep the glassho...

Re: m30 in an e36?!?

thats great info, that would nearly solve all my problems as then i could put the engine good and far back into the bulkhead where i want it and also it will be giving more bonnet clearance at the front. the height issue shouldnt be too much of a concern as the escort wings are quiet high and the bo...

Re: e46 m3 engined mk1 escort

never seen or heard of a straight six escort, for the simple reason it wont fit. well yes any thing can fit but you would have to have at least 2 cylinders under the dash to get any sort of weight distrbution. it seems like money is not a limiting factor so either a 2.4 millington or a built redtop ...

m30 in an e36?!?

has anyone ever seen or heard of an m30 fitted to an e36? before you reckon i am actually fitting it to an e36 it is actually intended to fit in a rwd converted 95 escort with a e36 front end and subframe setup. from visually sizing it up it looks like the front mount sump will cause the most obstru...

Ford sierras are worthless sh** these are ideal for welding the diff on. and 316 e30s are highly valued prestige cars that you couldnt weld a diff on because they are a vehicle of such calibre  A come on now Alan! So, in summary: Anyone who doesn't have a welded diff is a flat cap wearing, pipe smoking buffty who spends his (long, lonely) afternoons poking a cotton bud into the crevices of his 15" BBS wheels and polishing the RAC badge on his chromed kidney grills while muttering about "youths" under his bre...

ive worked on a few e30s with the fiberglass kit and they were all terrible. the bad fit and finish will far outweigh the few hundred you save on a geniuine one. and if the cars any way lowered and you hit the front off of something (which you will) its all over for the front part
