Re: v8 conversion dreams...

Cool stuff. The m60/2 is the main option for my drift car later this year. Manifolds are no problem to make up, my brake servo is already switched round to be where the glovebox should go, and making mounts etc isn't a problem. I'll just use a nice big e28 rad, or, funds permitting, a nice shiny alu...

Re: m30 conversion help

OK, I should have said "to make things easier" :D I like making future jobs easier on my car though I guess, hense moving the brake master cyl/servo into the car, stripping all wiring out of the engine bay, moving the clutch reservoir and coil etc.

Re: m30 conversion help

My car ran fine on standard suspension with this engine, as have a couple of mates who've had them in 320i's and 318is's. The brakes are also fine, my car ran as a competition car and fast road car on standard brakes, standard pads, cheapo dot 4 fluid etc, all fine and safely, with a 1.6, 2.5, and 3...

225bhp/lbft 3.5 here, it is a handful in the wet in any gear, and anything 3rd or below in the dry takes some caution. 300bhp would be stonking :D

Re: Gathering interest in custom race parts

I'll get paypal sorted tonight. First pair of gearbox mounts just been made. We've also sourced some coated bolts so they won't rust. They aren't shitty weak stainless fasteners these are 12.8 high tensile items. The bolts above won't be supplied, they will be pretty and silver. Pictures of the engi...

Re: Gathering interest in custom race parts

Jason - yes. Paypal will be sorted shortly. Should have some gearbox and more engine mounts being made up this week. Thnks for the link of muzzimotorsport. Their stuff is expensive but some of it is posher than our stuff due to better machining capabilities. Ours is simpler and "does the job" rather...

Re: Gathering interest in custom race parts

First pair of aluminium engine mounts just been made. They are really light actually, and have a really nice surface finish on them despite the flash making them look a little choppy. Come with brand new high tensile allen head bolts, washers, and nuts. Simply undo the top and bottom nuts on your ru...

Re: Gathering interest in custom race parts

OK will do Junior. For all - m30 conversion mounts are being fabbed up this weekend to see how things go. Got a pair that eradicate the "rubber" being made for a friend's 3.5 drift cabriolet, and some more made up to allow for the standard rubber. I'll get some pictures up when they are complete :) ...

Re: Gathering interest in custom race parts

If you can get me measurements then that'll be no problem. Looking at about £40 since it has to be a decent (ground) surface finish. Is it used as a bearing face at all? Ie does the outside rub against something?

Most drifters have adjustable arms with exposed rosejoints. I hadn't seen them done like that before. Can do them no problem for a lot cheaper than 200 euros.

Re: Gathering interest in custom race parts

Due to my heavily custom setup, and lack of friends with standard cars. I am after gear linkages from a standard 325i including the lower rod. I have a couple of 2.5 gearboxes and a 1.6i gearbox with linkage, and a 318iS gearbox with linkage, but I don't have a linkage that I can confirm to be from ...

Re: Gathering interest in custom race parts

Done some initial development on the short shift kit, will be kinky and cheeeap. Also done some thinking about the lollipops, we will be offering the push-in steel bushes welded in place for max camber, but also going to basically make cheaper versions of the treehouse bushes with no reduction in qu...

Re: Gathering interest in custom race parts

Will be in a couple of months yeah, batch sizes aren't so important so pretty much if you put your name down you can get what you want, I don't need minimum numbers but no point in us going to the effort of making stuff if nobody is interested in things :)

Re: Gathering interest in custom race parts

Subframe mounts will be like a proper version of powerflex. Powerflex offer a good product for pussies who want a slightly firmer ride, solid bushes provide no mercy no deflection "power to the ground" kind of support. The trailing arm bushes will prevent stupid camber/toe changes under load and hol...

Gathering interest in custom race parts

Hi all, I'm pretty handy at fabrication and a mate works with all the machines and tools necessary to make various parts. Most of these/all of these are going to go on my drift e30, and I thought if others were interested we could make up a few batches. Hope mods don't consider this trading, as it's...
