Re: Z3 shifter into M10 box?

The Z3 shifter conversion seems like a very practical, simple and worthwhile mod. I have an M10 engined 318i. Will the shifter go into the M10 box? I dont know if E30s all had the same 5 speeder or not. Has this been done in Australia before, and is it expensive? Cheers Yup, the bits you're changin...

Re: Reversing light switch

1979 325iT Just started to have problems with the reversing lights coming on intermittently, which suggests that it might be the switch at the gearstick end. Please would anyone comment on this and, also, where and how easy is it to replace the switch. TIA tango-one In thinking that you mean an '89...

Is it possible to do a E36 steering rack conversion into a E30 with M50 engine? Is there enough space? Has anyone done this? It's very easy. Put the car either in P or all the way down in 1, and simply put your finger in the middle of the little bit which has the P-R-N etc marked on it, say next to N, and then underneath, and lift it out, upward. Bulb should be there in the wire on the actual gear selector rod - you may ...

I think your nuts may be loose. No seriously... there are two M4 or so nuts on the back of the cluster. One's for the fuel gague, and the other for the temp and they provide ground to the gague as well hold the rest of the connectors in proper order. Pull the cluster and take a look, if they're loos...
