Correct reservoir level?
Hi all, Can anyone please tell me what the correct level on the radiator reservoir should coolant be topped up to? Mine's a 318i cabby 1993 facelift model. I notice that there are small grooves going up one side of the reservoir. The short grooves stop a short distance before the top of the reservoi...

Wet carpet
Hello all I have a stupid scenario with my carpet - the master clutch cylinder split a while back and p*ssed clutch fluid onto the carpet under the pedals. Having got this fixed, I then used loads of carpet cleaner to remove the said mess. Only now, instead of carpet that's wet with clutch fluid, it...

creaking noise from steering wheel

However, I'm still getting a very loud creaking noise from the steering column when turning full lock to the right - it almost sounds like metal on metal...

Overheating when idle?
Hello all, A quick question regarding an odd overheating scenario that I'm currently experiencing. When the car has warmed up and is idling for a few minutes, I notice that the temperature needle will creep up past the halfway mark and usually sits just below the 3/4 line. As soon as I start moving ...

Re: Strange repeating blown fuse
Thanks for your advice Brian.
So you don't think that the carpet cleaner has anything to do with this? I noticed that the carpet is still damp (went overboard with the cleaning fluid) - I've been trying to soak it up with a cloth under the driver's mat.
Cheers

Daz, when you say clean, do you mean the back of the switch where the socket points are, or do you mean pry open the switch box and clean the insides of the switch?

Cabrio boot rack?
Hi everyone,
I was chugging along the North Circular the other day when I spotted a cabrio with a luggage rack strapped on the boot lid. I didn't think it was an E30 but it prompted the question in my mind as to whether such a thing exists? And if it does, is it worth getting?
Cheers
