Highly recommend PFC 01/06/08 if you can get them to fit (or make them fit) your calipers.

Driftwood, if you check out any of the SpecE30 suppliers in the US most will have an eccentric adjuster kit that you can weld onto the subframe.
Ireland Engineering now do one that has serrated mounting plates so they can't move out of alignment once tightened.

Brian, A PBMW spec car would pretty much be eligible for Improved Production Racing anywhere in the country - there are racetracks close to most state/territory capitals. That being said, if he happened to move to Victoria, he could make a few small changes and come play with the E30 Racing Cars in ...

Most of the guys running E30Racing Cars in Australia changeover to the <1988 735/750 Master Cylinder; just needs a t-piece adaptor for the non-ABS Cars with 2 outlets on the front axle. Have had very good experiences with the PFC06 compound pad on standard calipers, in the 7752 shape you can get 12mm thick 01 or 97 (more racey versus more track car-y) for about 45 quid plus VAT from PartBox/CoOrdSport.

We're now running the ATL 12 US Gallon Well Cell with the built in surge tank and high pressure pump. Comes as an all in one unit you just need to do plumbing and wiring. I should also mention that I am a big fan of the Schroth Profi II-6H harness, which allows you to convert the lap straps to a 'pull-up' style from the traditional 'pull-down'. Really nice crotch strap design as well that doesn't dig into your bits. second that! So nice to still have feeling in your...

I was going to suggest that either the FIA or the MSA would have a technical drawing which should illustrate the recommended installation angles for all 6 belts - shoulder, lap and crotch. Be sure to use the 50x75mm reinforcement plates under the floor (should have come with some in the harness kit)...

Re: short boss
No, you will still need a boss kit of some description e.g. MOMO, Sparco, OMP etc. You could, however, weld a shaft onto the steering shaft, but then you would not able to rotate the steering wheel to suit the wheel alignment.

That's great. Well done. I have used one, and have fellow E30 Racers who have used the Sparco units who experience play between the steel shaft and the aluminium receiver. With the Krontec that wear possibility is removed. For the little extra $$, I'll stick with the QR-01 in the future. I have a li...

Yoko AO50s in 205/50 R15 get a decent wrap - softer compounds than the AO48, so better suited to shorter track day sessions than longer races.

I personally have a real dislike for quick release bosses - Every car I have ever driven with one fitted had a tiny bit of play in it, except for the weld on examples used in radicals and single seaters. I changed from the Lifeline/Sparco/Momo style to the Krontec QR-01 and it is a massive differen...

Re: Track day set up
Have found that a bit of front toe out gives the car a little more 'turn in'. On a really high speed circuit without low/medium speed corners, you'd probably run 0mm (i.e. straight) to maximise straight line speed and minimise scrub. We run between 0 and 2mm TOTAL toe out, would not consider running...

Front: 0.5-1.0mm toe out each side. Camber (depending on tyres) 3.0-4.5 degrees. Castor as much as you can get. Rear: 1.0-2.0mm toe in each side (if you can get it that low). Camber 2.0-3.0 degrees. So either 350mm or 380mm outside diameter.

One of the best solutions I have seen for this is to use dry ice (CO2). Place it on top of the insulation for a short while, let it freeze it and it should chip right off. The other solution I have seen is to use liquid nitrogen, but that's a bit extreme! But of course, that doesn't help you get rid...

+1 on this. Just pulled apart a MINI Challenge car that had direct bolted Recaro seat in it that had been in a major (60mph+ into wall at 45 degree angle). The 4mm steel side mounts were massively bent, but stayed in one piece, and the seat shell remained intact. If that had been a set of sliders wi...

Might want to look at at an upgraded adjustable rear anti-roll bar first, with some extra negative camber on the front as well.
